your an idiot. if u read the caption it says IN THE UNITED STATES.
The statement isn't about how much it sold in total or how much it made in money, It is about Mayweathers drawing power, Which is clearly not what he claims it to be.
The numbers show that yes people payed to see the fight but they payed to watch Hatton whoop the number one P4P (which is wishful thinking because boy never had a chance) and not the other way around.

Now go sit in the corner you douche

MAyweather and GBP will not get any percentage of the UK sales. With 850K Buys in the US, MAyweather will not get anywhere near 20M $, while Ricky will get 40M $. Not bad for a loser...

The Ricky Hatton-Floyd Mayweather WBC welterweight showdown 11 days ago in Las Vegas will break all Sky Box Office pay-per-view records in the UK, with estimates as high as 1.2 million buys.
                And

The reality is that the Hatton 'Wonderland' is paved with gold. When the counting is done, the 29-year-old former carpet fitter from Hyde is set to earn between 15 and 20 million pounds from his prize fight with Mayweather,
For the first time in ppv boxing history, this event will return more UK pay-per-view buys than in the USA. There were 850,000 domestic pay-per-view buys Stateside, representing $47 million US dollars in television revenue.
                http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mai.../soboxi120.xml

Also I heard that the figures for the fighters' pay is mroe like 5 million pounds for Hatton and 15 million dollars for Mayweather as a guarantee plus a share of gate receipts and PPV totals. However Floyd does not have any options on the UK PPVs.

The figures for UK PPVs is pretty outstanding though, considering that the record is about half of the US record but there's only a fifth the population of the US living in the UK.

Actually GBP and Mayweather will get a big slice of the UK PPV, Why did you think they came over here to publicies the fight? They knew Hatton has loads of fans and they wanted a piece of the action..Which they got.

                  Oscar isnt that ******.

Golden Boy will make money on the UK PPVs hence the tour, but I don't think that Mayweather will. I could be wrong, I have as little knowledge of the breakdown of the contracts as you do, but I suspect (and all reports seem to back this up) that Hatton had exclusive rights to the PPVs on a sliding scale, with the percentage increasing as the number of buys reached certain thresholds.

Most reports on the matter suggest that Hatton's percentage is very generous considering that the number of buys broke a million.

Mayweather will take a cut of the ppv upto 350000. Hatton takes a percentage on the 350000 and then a cut on every single ppv over the 350000.
