You have to admit, Floyd made Hatton Rich, just like Oscar made Floyd rich.
The facts are Hatton made just over $2 million for his fight with Tszyu and made a guaranteed $2.8 million for his fight with Castillo. Also his fight with Castillo did'nt do good PPV numbers.
Crowdwise yes Hatton was the draw no arguements there, but PPV wise Mayweather was easily the draw. If hatton was the draw he surely would'nt accept a 55/45 split in PBF's favour, and PBF calling all the shots, like the ring size, etc.Last edited by Parody; 12-19-2007, 11:55 PM.Comment

Mayweather was guaranteed $11 million plus a slice of any pay-per-view profits, while Hatton had a $6 million guarantee.
55/45 Spilt......
Mayweather will also earn a percentage of the TV earnings to reach $ 200 million.
and i dont think hatton is getting any PPV Money because this was his first PPV, and Golden Boy assume all the risk of Promoting his first PPV and the Promoters usally take the PPV money anyways.....and guaranteed fighters a certain amount of million like in Hatton case....
But Hatton might make close to 12 million at the end of the day...and that is good because he was guaranteed $6 million and he is going to walk away with double...that money...
But Mayweather on the other Hand will get a Promoters Cut

IF you was the draw would you take a 55/45 split and seemly Little PPV money, while the Other guy is getting DOUBLE of what you make and AN HIGH % of the PPV money....why would you accept those terms if you knew you was the draw..?
Hatton knew he wasnt the draw or he wouldnt of accepted those Terms...

Look 45% of something is better than 80% of nothing.
Besides Mayweather, there are no fights of such caliber out there for Hatton.
Just like DLH made Mayweather, Mayweather made Hatton. But the question is who brings more fans and the answer is obvious.
What fight out there for Mayweather would generate 2 Mil PPV buys?
Aside from DLH which has already happened, Hatton was the biggest money cow.

The point is it takes two to make a fight.
Mayweather would'nt have done that much PPV without Hatton just like Hatton would'nt have done without Mayweather, Oscar would'nt have done 2.4 million PPV Buys without Mayweather, just like Mayweather in NO way would have done 2.4 million buys without Oscar.
Oscar was dictating everything in his fight with Mayweather just like Mayweather was dictating in his fight with Hatton.
Oscar made PBF Rich, when PBF made Hatton rich.Comment
