Golden Boy will make money on the UK PPVs hence the tour, but I don't think that Mayweather will. I could be wrong, I have as little knowledge of the breakdown of the contracts as you do, but I suspect (and all reports seem to back this up) that Hatton had exclusive rights to the PPVs on a sliding scale, with the percentage increasing as the number of buys reached certain thresholds.

Most reports on the matter suggest that Hatton's percentage is very generous considering that the number of buys broke a million.

The editor of **********(G.leon) told me both Golden boy promotions and Mayweather are getting a slice of the UK PPV, He stated that mayweather wouldnt have gone to the UK to promote the fight if they didnt give him a slice of the pie...

Mayweather will take a cut of the ppv upto 350000. Hatton takes a percentage on the 350000 and then a cut on every single ppv over the 350000.

I think thats about accurate he would get a piece of the UK ppv but not as much as Hatton and Sky...I think he deserves it with the way he promote they fight in Manchester

Fact is that if Hatton makes 45% against Mayweather then he is a major draw. If he wasn't there wouldn't be a 55-45 purse split, the split would be closer to 80-20. Traditionally that's how things worked for the champion, he took the lion's share while the challenger had an opportunity to win the title and thus the earnings potential. Things have changed, thanks largely to the proliferation of titles, but you still have a situation where a 55 - 45 split implies two big names. Do you think Baldomir made 45% against Judah? He maybe made 45% against Gatti.
