Is Mayweather a Household name in UK?

I could go out right now and chap on the doors of one hundred houses and ask the residents if they were familiar with Floyd Mayweather, and i'd be seriously surprised if more than 5 of them knew who Mayweather was.

What's the point in doing that though when you can just come on here and ask the Yanks how well known Mayweather is in the UK?

dunno about the UK but everyone know's him in scotland, there was signs up before and after his fight with ricky, and the shops were doin promotions for drinks just for the fight 2(that has nothin to do with floyd tho)

Im from UK dude, Many londoners know Mayweather. Specially after the Hatton fight.
All i hear is:

"that mayweather is geezer is slick" etc etc...
