no one will outbox mayweather, whatever cotto will try, floyd will adapt and take control.
Notice mayweather uses the weapons that work in the fight, ellerbe once said in the corner use more the jab! mayweather'; hes blocking it, it wont land '' , mayweather doesnt waste punches, but when he lands them makes them count.
He uses only the effective weapons, and mixes it up. Cotto will have to be in the shape of his live. + have a very good gameplan, and be mentally really ready. Its gonna have to be controlled smart pressure, and some luck for cotto to have a chance. Judah and shane didnt exactly go for the scientific approach, and i think cotto will think mayweather is another judah.

Actually. Cotto is VERY different in cutting the ring and applying pressure than Hatton. Hatton OPENS up when he comes at you, Cotto comes at you closed and times the punches and has a extremely powerful short range punches. But Floyd is just too good.

Cotto will break down floyds shell with raw power, that has to be his strategy.

Um being 5'11 didnt help when Shane beat him..but a little 5'7 PR beat Shane though..

i dont see any way Cotto will be able to defeat Mayweather unless he lands some kind of monster shot to the body or chin. He's not fast enough to box Mayweather and constantly applying pressure really wont work. Especially now that Floyd has experienced that and knows how to handle it now. This is what I see happening if Cotto tries to pressure.

Cotto will come foward, head tilted down as usual looking for an opening.

Floyd will back peddle studying cotto's movements and placement of arms and he will zig zag backwards.

Cotto will follow Floyd shuffling his feet trying to get close but distant enough so that he can have space to punch.

Cotto will attempt to land to the body, But Floyd pops him with a right.

Cotto backs up and tries a combo to the body and chin, Floyd blocks body shot and tilts backward to dodge left hook, then pops Cotto again.

Now Cotto is brainstorming while he follows Floyd losing his complete concentration.

Now Floyd is able to catch him to the dome and starts to expose more openings.

                Floyd by UD.

Idiots? When you don't have the reach advantage, your jab is set up by timing and a consistent flow, in terms of throwing it. The space between you has a lot to do with it (If you have the shorter arms of the two fighters, you would want to move in a bit closer).

Obviously, you'd know this if you weren't a biased little kid.

The only thing to think about now is who has the style and skills to beat Floyd?

I think Shane has the skills to do it but he may be past his prime
