Cortez is spot on. The only ones complaining are the brits and Mayweather never used his forearm to knock Hatton completely through the ropes. Plus Cortez already warned them both before the deduction and Hatton in rd 1. People need to actually go back and watch the fight or stfu. Cortez gave him many chances to fight a clean boxing match. This isn't MMA grappling and Cortez responded accordingly and sufficiently.
Cortez: "Hatton wasn't allowed to fight his style"

You see that's plain wrong. Mayweather was a worthy winner and would have won the fight regardless but that does not excuse poor refereeing and Cortez was very poor.Comment

This is pathetic.
Cortez did not allow Hatton to allow ILLEGAL TACTICS in the fight.
GET OVER IT.
Floyd dominated, both fighters were warned for holding, and Floyd use of the forearms inside, but nothing was close to being worth a point deduction. Hatton deliberatly aimed a shot at the back of Floyd's head after being warned TWICE by Cortez about hitting in the back of the head.
Oh, and that picture is not from the third round, where the cut was opened.
This is really getting sad.

He was not that bad. He had his moments, but people are acting like breaking up fighters when they are clinching is something a referee is NOT supposed to do.
Get a rulebook, kids.

So what if Brits are complaining? Are only Americans allowed to complain now?Cortez is spot on. Nobody is taking away his victory, he did the unthinkable (in some peoples minds) and knocked Hatton out. Whether Hatton was fighting his fight or not he still would have been KO'd throwing a wide punch like that. But Cortez was very biased towards Mayweather, full stop.Comment

You guys act like Hatton was a saint in the ring. Hatton did as much holding and wrestling as Floyd used his elbow which was used to push Hatton back when holding. Besides it was a KO not a decision so stop with the ****ing threads and the complaining your making you Hatton fans look even worst.Comment
