ANd why did Cortez split them up so often. Boxing is inclose and from long range. How are body punchers supposed to work from long distance?
PBF fights long and Hatton fights short range. Why did the ref favour the long range fight?
PBF might have still won. BUt ive been denied a great fight, like SRL and duran.

      Get a rulebook, kids.
Breaking up the fighters when they are not clinching though is another matter. I thought the point deduction was typical of the way he refereed the fight but it was by no means his greatest sin.

        exactly,

If you found that Cortez was bas, I can't find a word to describe how ****ty was the ref of Tszyu-Hatton...

Hatton low blowed Tszyu and he scored it a knockdown, Tszyu land a good bodyshot and he has a point deducted.....

OH WAIT, IT DOESN'T MATTER, HE ONLY LET HATTON FOUGHT WITH HIS STYLE.

This thread is a thread for crybaby hater that will always be hater. But the fact will remain, Floyd KO Hatton, when everybody were pissing on me when I said he would tko him.

He already made up his mind about Hatton before the fight. He ignored Mayweather's constant use of the elbow, warned him only in the 5th round but did nothing about it when it continued for the rest of the fight. And wasn't it an elbow which caused Hatton's cut?

I cannot believe you tried to use that picture as evidence of unfair refereeing.
First of all, FLoyds forearm/elbow are not making contact with Hatton's face, and that arm was pushed to the position it is in, no elbows were thrown.

Spot on. I would be totally on board if Cortez split them after 10 seconds or so with no punches thrown. But in the few seconds they were allowed to get close, punches were thrown and both fighters looking for gaps - and as stated before, noticed Hatton's apparent fouls, but largely ignored Mayweathers elbows/forearms (and in a fair few cases, holding the arms of Ricky, as seen in the pic).

Here, by the way, is the link to Cortez's comments.

              http://www.primerahora.com/noticia/b...tanicos/137132

It's in Spanish but i'm told when translated it basically translates to what was said in the first post.

I don't see your point but I'm sure that you see mine, Mozza. I merely made the same observation as Cortez.

He was doing more holding inside than punching.

You was denied a great fight only because your fighter lost and nothing else.

I urge you to watch the fight again. Mayweather didn't 'throw elbows', but he slid them in, sometimes elbows, sometimes forearms. It's still fouling.

How do you come to the conclusion that Hatton's arm is 'pushed there' when Floyd is grabbing it?
