Mayweather hasn't grown into anything. He is the smallest "welter weight" in the division. Name one person other than Zab (who also moved up in weight) that is his size and stature? The only reason he even belongs there is because of his skill level.

Collazo was 160 in the fight so he really was two classes bigger. Floyd can still make 140 easily I'm sure, and if he put in some hard work 135. It's not a numbers thing though. He's so gifted genetically that he doesnt retain fat as easy as guys like Cotto and Hatton do.

I just think at 147 he's not at a physical disadvantage like most people say. On paper people will always be heavier than him in the ring, but it doesnt look that way.

I'm not saying he'll beat the greats at this weight. Hell his resume doesnt even indicate that he's the best in the division. Every Welterweight in the top 5 would beat Baldomir, Judah, and Hatton. I'm just saying physically he can hold up just fine because he's that gifted.

        Miguel Cotto(smaller)

        Shane Mosley(little bit bigger)

and many others. Mayweather is about the right size for the division, recently it has grown a little though.

Miguel Cotto is smaller than Floyd Mayweather? .. Surely nobody else, including all of the writers who call him "bigger and stronger" agrees with you on this lone view.

          Shane Mosley(little bit bigger)
Whatever.. He's Bigger and that's not "the same size", plus he was no bigger than Cotto so you obviously make no sense all together..

          and many others.
Like who? You haven't even named one! Answer my question. Who is smaller or around the same size as Floyd Mayweather at welter weight? I don't feel like playing games with you, Mosley and Cotto are not two of them.

Mayweather is about the right size for the division, recently it has grown a little though.
Again, to be the "right size" you should be average size for that weight. If you're small for that weight, meaning there is no one at the weight of your stature and everyone is bigger, then obviously that is not your "natural" weight, nor did you magically grow into it. How much can a grown man "naturally" grow with out simply getting fat? Mayweather is naturally a 140 pounder due to the weight that he walks around at, which is even lighter than most 140 pounders.

Both of those guys have a naturally bigger frame. Thats evident by the fact that they all started at 135 or above. And don't try to say frame has nothing to do with it cuz I'll throw Paul Williams out there (stopping the bull**** before you sling it).

He'd by no means blow Floyd out of the water like he did his father years ago, but he'd win. Like I said, it would be close.

Not even just their frame which gives them a bigger potential to carry weight, but their natural bulk. They are more bulky and broad than the slim fit Mayweather. Mayweather is tiny, I can't believe that some people deny that. Ricky Hatton even thought that he was too small after sizing him up before the fight. The only thing that possibly changed his view (I don't know if it did) of that was the check hook.

You guys show your ignorance of boxing weight dynamics. Mayweather is at the weltweight limit with solid rock muscle. At the weigh ins, Mosley and Cotto would be the same. So what if they gain some water weight back in time for the fight? That is not weight that enhances their power or whatnot.

Imagine if Floyd had a normal metabolism for his age, he would have the same weight draining issues as those guys. He has a remarkable metabolism that has fooled you into thinking he is much smaller.

Ha ha ha. Thank you for informing us about Floyd's metabolism. You really think being hydrated does help give you energy/power? Please tell me you were kidding.
