Oscar wasn't on vacation either and was still healthy and training and was in the best shape of his life. He wasn't laid-off, he was fresh off of a win over the WBC champ at 154 and is a legend.

Cotto's resume is ****ted on by both Floyd's and Oscar's, infinitely. But that's understandable since he began his career in 2001!
you're doing that thing again homie

No he isn't. Cotto is a better boxer than Hatton imo, but that doesn't mean it would be a better fight or that Floyd isn't a better boxer and absolutely HAS to fight him, or else. I reiterate what I said else where.

Cotto's Jab is not better than Oscar's
His pressure isn't as intense as Hatton's
His size isn't as overwhelming as Baldomir'
His speed isn't anything like Zab's

Therefore, in my view, he doesn't have a great chance at beating Mayweather. On top of that, Floyd doesn't need him for ppv. There's nothing indicating that Floyd NEEDS to fight him to prove something unless he stayed fighting, and at welter weight.

but bowing out before taking on the real fights out there and talking that you're THEE best or close there .... go 'head with that **** - floyd.
But you have to admit that there is always someone out there to fight. If he fights and beats Cotto, people are gonna want him to fight Berto, or Williams, or Cintron, or Margarito, or Clottey, or Nuzhnenko, or whomever else is considered the biggest threat at that time. When is the guy gonna be able to retire in peace?

Which is why he should just retire and not care about peace.. do him. Like he said: "I won't let boxing retire me, I will retire from boxing". One of the best sound bites I've heard from Mr. Mayweather.

It should be simple right? But people need to bring PPV buys and personality to the table. It's weird how boxing works.

Cotto will beat Floyd, there isn't no hate from Cotto, those ****** **** gobbling Floyd haters don't represent Cotto nor the true BOXING fans whom give their homest and neutral opinions, there isn't NO ONE on here who gives more respect to Floyd than me, I don't sit here and write novels about him but I know my **** and I called the Hatton fight exactly how it happened which was either a late round TKO or a decision which BOTH were on their way of happening, I know my **** and Floyd doesn't get disrespected here, he doesn't get his knob polished but he doesn't get disrespected from me because I know when it's time to call **** fair, Floyd IS a legend, he IS a problem but he WONT beat Cotto, even if Cotto losses before he makes it up to Floyd he has the style to beat Floyd, he does VERY well against speedy fighters and while Floyds skills hold A LOT of weight Cotto's skills do too, Floyd wouldn't be the only skilled dude in there fighting and his mind games wont work on Cotto.. Floyd wont beat Cotto, he wont get stopped but he wont beat Cotto I just know it, them long arms wont help him, a lot of you guys clearly don't know **** about Miguel Cotto, either that or your love and biasness towards Floyd is blinding you, one thing is to say he will lose but many of you guys are making it sound like it will be fairly easy. in the famous words of Jae Millz "No, No, Noooooooooooooo"..
