As a Boxing fan, this is a fight you should want to see. As a Boxing fan, you should want Floyd to fight WHOEVER is a threat to his legacy. Both Margarito and Mosley lost thier shot by losing. Im my eyes, that puts them in back of the line. Williams isnt a big enough name yet in order to draw casual fan interest. Cotto is the only logical opponent for Floyd at this time. The problem with waiting 1-2yrs for Floyd to face Cotto is this. The WW division is loaded with heavy competition, and Cotto is only looking to make big fights from this point on. In that time, it is realistic that he can lose to any of the other top Welters. If Cotto was to lose within that time, Floyd would just say that there is no point in fighting Cotto because he already lost to so and so. Right now Cotto is hot, and Floyd is on top. A pre-Puerto Rican day showdown at MSG would be massive right now. Cotto is more of a draw in MSG than Floyd is at the MGM.
