Weebler, i think u made ur point. And i agree to a certain point.
The ref seperated them sooner than u see in almost every fight. And the fact he knew Hatton wanted to punch his way out and thats his game seems unfair.
Yet in those kinds of clinches is where heads clash and cuts happen. So it works both ways.
Ultimatly Hatton was meant to be a machine who is able to keep the pressure on continously throughout the fight, and in the latter rounds the ref did allow some infighting to go on, yet Hatton had nothing left and it was Floyd who was the real danger.
Welterweight aint for Hatton.Comment

Good reply. I accept Floyd is the best boxer in the world, perhaps ever. I know he's a weight above too. So it was always going to be hard.
What is difficult to accept is someone taking his opportunity like that when he was looking good.Comment

no **** yes FLoyd was dirty but so was Hatton he even said so post fight. And Hatton fans should be quiet about that anyway Hatton was so much more dirty during the Zoo fight. Floyd won let it go..Comment

True, he did look good at the start. And the thing that people seem to not understand is that with Hatton just one perfect body shot could have made all the difference to the rest of the fight.
But its difficult to see that. If they had goone toe to toe from the start it would still of been Floyd with the bigger punches. Hatton has seemed vunerable for some time.
Floyd just seems to have more gears than anyone else. IMO he still has yet to show us what he is capable of. We will only see that if he is behind or hurt.Comment

Thats what the Americans on here don't understand. They haven't watched Hatton fight as much as us. If Hatton was on top a killer punch was always a good possibility especially as he was so fired up.
Perhaps, but Hatton could've taken the punches like he did for 10 rounds, I'm not so sure about Floyd. He didn't look at all comfortable. And if you watch the first 4 rounds Floyd was moving around loads like he usually does and thats how he was getting his shots in.But its difficult to see that. If they had goone toe to toe from the start it would still of been Floyd with the bigger punches. Hatton has seemed vunerable for some time.
I honestly believe we would've seen Floyd under real pressure if Cortez let it flow.Floyd just seems to have more gears than anyone else. IMO he still has yet to show us what he is capable of. We will only see that if he is behind or hurt.Comment
