Thats what the Americans on here don't understand. They haven't watched Hatton fight as much as us. If Hatton was on top a killer punch was always a good possibility especially as he was so fired up.

I guess you are right, the ref didnt allow Hatton to hold and hit on the inside, which is ILLEGAL, and that was a reason he wasnt able to beat Floyd.

Holding and hitting is illegal but the ref didnt even wait to see if a punch was thrown before breaking the action so thats a mute point. The referee made a mockery of the first 4 rounds its undeniable, he went into that ring with an agenda. However Floyd was still undeniably brilliant, P4P king and a fantastic champion, Hatton fans including myself just have to accept that he was exposed by a truly great performace.

Ricky wasn't holding anyway, he was leaning his body in not using arms for the most part and it was Floyd who was doing it so the ref would separate them.
