Earth to skils: Floyd is on the doorstep of history. He is in a position to now fulfull his destiny. The question is: Will he?

If he beats Cotto and retires undefeated....we're talking about being in with the likes of Ray Leonard and Pernell Whittaker.

If he unifies the belts and retires undefeated...we're talking about being in with the likes of.........................Sugar Ray Robinson. Do you see it now?

He could, but he shouldnt and wont, ending a great career on a note is a worthy way to leave the sport.
Like he said, he is going to retire from boxing, boxing will not retire him, like it did to Ali, Robinson and Leonard.

he already has the WBC, now he needs the WBA and IBF to become the undisputed welterweight champion.

Well technically he's already partly unified because he has The Ring and the WBC, but yeah he should finish the job.

I'd be pretty sad if that was his last time in a boxing ring last night. Great performance though.

PBF will not go down as better than SRR or Ali. Noway. THe dude dont go out of his own country. If it was in Manchester with judges on Hattons side, with the ref on Hattons side it would be a win for Hatton i believe. That is why i give credit for PBF but not elevation to Pep and Ali, SRR status or SRL.

                Stop living in fantasy land.

Even if you had a different ref while in Manchester the outcome would have been the same.

Yeah....what's the use in going to lengths to protect and maintain an undefeated record if it's not to ultimately be legitimately considered in the discussion of who was history's greatest boxer? I'm sorry but I don't understand the reasoning, unless it's that of the businessman. That I do understand.

What are you guys scared of? Are you truly that worried about Floyd's ability? Would you rather perpetuate a tired argument over a controversial career, or would you like to see it happen.....FOR REAL? Ultimately if there are lingering questions, then there is no argument to be had in the long run. History will judge and you cannot do anything about it.

Holy **** guys......Floyd is in position to make a run at the GOAT! Get your head out of your asses. Don't you think Floyd might at some point realize this? There is something greater than money. Did you know that?

If he doesn't make a run for it, then he justifies the criticism with an admission. An admission that after all is said and done...he was always in fact just another businessman who slicked his way to riches. That's why he will be forgotten if he retires now. AND IT'S THE TRUTH.

So does that make Mayweather a little more forgotten then Hatton? Or is Hatton the more forgotten one?
Who knows. Your logic isn't on point.

I didn't say anything about Hatton. I said Floyd is in position to make a run for the GOAT. Do you disagree?
