    Floyd: Unify the belts!

Could Floyd make history by unifying the welterweight belts? Honestly, if he could get by Cotto.........he could do it. And, if he did it, Floyd will go down as one of the greatest boxers of all time. I've said it.

    Can anybody disagree?

He is already going down as one of the best of all time. He could do it if he chose to but if he doesn't he is still one of the best to ever do it.

Floyd wants no part of Cotto or Williams. Floyd is gonna take a "vacation".

Dude, he just beat Hatton less than 24 hours ago. Now you're dying to see him fight Cotto, can Floyd get 2 minutes to take a **** first before you offer him his next opponet? He's beaten everybody and you will never respect him because of it.

Even if he fights Cotto, expect Cotto to get it in the same way Hatton did. After he embarasses Cotto, you'll be saying "Floyd needs to fight (insert fighter here) next.".

I voted no....only because I believe Cotto would win. But, if he got by Cotto.....he could do it! Man, it's right there for him to make history. Does he have the willpower to try? That's the issue.

Why don't you understand that he has ALREADY MADE HISTORY. He does not have to fight another match to b e considered an all time great. I for one hope he does as a fan but I know the realization that this might not happen.

No, he hasn't. And that's why threads like these will continue to be made.

Floyd deserves his little break. But he is not better than Sugar Ray, Ali, or Roy Jones if he retires at 30.

all these ****ing belts ruin these fights.

back in the day you had 2 fighters fighting to be the best

now you've got 8 fighting to prove who's the best

Not at all. You're misreading me entirely. Last night showed me something...Joe Cortez notwithstanding. No sir. You are wrong. I've already said that if Floyd could beat Cotto............he's ATG on my card. But, I'm talking about history now. Unifying the belts would stamp Floyd as possibly the greatest boxer of all time in my view (he would certainly be in the discussion).

Do not underestimate my appreciation of Floyd after last night. He looked like a true master craftsman at work.
