What goes around, comes around. The spectre of Hatton's victory over Tszyu in Britain, where Hatton was allowed to do anything to win that fight but pull a knife, came around in haunting fashion. This is about the only positive spin I can put on how tonight's fight was governed. Cortez was on a mission to save American boxing from the Brits. And to the detriment of the sport, he fulfilled his duties well.
Damn dude. I thought you actually watched the fight.
But you seem to be more consumed in the behind the scenes or conspiracy theroies then the actual FIGHT.
Mayweather WON.. Good strategy and all.
    With a K.O.
Can't get anymore clear cut then that.

OK. I can live with that.

Tell ya what, though. Ricky's psyche will never be the same.

        Period.

They took a cash-out fight. Mayweather said that Hatton wasn't on his level, and the Hatton fans thought it was arrogance.

          Obviously.

I'm torn. I dont want to see him fight again after a knockout like that.

          Talk about emberassing.

I thought Ricky looked like he was about to break down during the post fight interview. It's hard to tell. He still holds the linear JrWW belt, so I bet he defends that belt successfully. He's still a monster. I doubt a rematch though. Not at 147 anyway.

Naww. Floyd looked great. I'm just pissed at Cortez. Did Floyd need his help? What the hell?

I feel for Ricky. That KO will be on highlight films for the next 20 years.

Sad way for a great fighter to be remembered. Which ultimately, he will be remembered for.

Maybe, maybe not. He's only 29. Got a few years left.

Most of all from this fight, I think Floyd not pointing directly for Cotto is the big news.

                      As I saw the fight?
I thought Mayweather fought a very smart counterpunchers style type of fight.
Hatton thought he could rough him up and and out tough Mayweather.
Mayweather used some VERY smart tatics in the early part of the fight.
Hatton was the bully. Thought he was stronger. THOUGHT he was bullying Mayweather in the early clinches.
But he got countered punched. HARD on his way in.
Yeah, I know Hattton fans got a hard on in the 6th round.
                      But Mayweather survived.
And in that 8th and 9th rounds... Got damn.
And the 10th just turned into a left hook, turnbuckle type of affair.
The later rounds, I already saw as Mayweather rounds.
Thats what he does, one of the best stamina fighters of ALL TIME.
He works his ass off. For all the **** you talk about Mayweather, he is one of the hardest workers you will ever see inside that training period.
I had NO DOUBTS about Mayweather winning this fight.
