    Isn't that Paul Malignaggi?

here in the usa we have hundreds of professional atheletes that every citizen in the usa can relate too. boxing and soccer are the only things going on there. so i would agree
In the UK we have soccer which is the biggest thing. We also have Rugby League, Rugby Union, Cricket and Grand Prix which vie for popularity just as NASCAR, American Football, Basketball and Baseball do in the United States. On top of that we have golf, tennis, athletics and of course boxing. The sporting tapestry in the UK is just as rich if not richer than that of the United States and is far less sullied by promotional considerations and the insidious concept of sport as "family entertainment".

Do you think Hatton will ever be known "outside of the boxing public"?
He already is. He's well known among the football set which amounts to just about everybody in the UK. He's a regular on talk shows such as Jonathan Ross and Parkinson, yet Mayweather has never been on Larry King. He's a regular guest team captain on A Question of Sport, a popular panel game show. He's been on TV programmes aimed at women even. Hatton is the first true crossover star that boxing has produced in the UK since Frank Bruno. And boxing is more popular in the UK than it is in the US per capita thanks in part to Joe Calzaghe's appearances on terrestrial television.

Are you mad that the Patriots beat yall?
Ahahahaaaaa this is priceless! This absolutely speaks volumes! You're not a fan of Floyd Mayweather, you're a fan of winning! Who are your favourite basketball team this year? Boston?

If Hatton is so popular. Why is this his 1st PPV? Why is Floyd getting paid more?
It isn't Hatton's first pay per view. And he's been paid more because he is more established in the United States. For now.

on a separate note the ignorance displayed by some people regarding britain in terms of its sporting culture and habits is unbelievable.
