Joe shouldn't argue f Bernard wants it split 60/40, to be honest. We know who will be putting fans into the seats.
just like he put fans in the seats against right? really? even Jim Lampley said it, "a disappointing crowd". what world do you guys live in?

I like how no one knows what Hopkins offered Calzaghe. I want to know. This blanket statement that Joe has to make more than he did vs Kessler is silly. Joe should have balls and come out and say exactly what he was offered. Let's see how much he turned down before any judgements are made. In the meantime, I can't take this as anything but something that makes Joe look bad until he is willing to say how much the offer was.

he is ducking hops imo. if he wants to fight here than he needs to take the fight. what other fight does he want. he turned down the woods fight. which i think was a good idea bc that would have been a BS fight. its easy to sell out in your home country. especally when your a champ. here in the US where boxing lives has ALOT of american fighters so there for you cant point out one fighter draws. if boxing was over in the UK than i think hops would be a big draw here. but with boxing going on here its harder to sell like calz does in his home town. anymway i think he should just take the fight. he was talking all this crap when hops came out and said he wanted the winner of jones jr and tito. he came out saying he ducking me and ****. the money was offered so take it. i understand that ALL FIGHTERS DO THIS(calm down calz fans dont jump down my throat.) but just except the fight. i hate it when boxers do this. its the biggest fight of your life. take it no matter what the money is.

Hopkins is the name fighter over here- where the PPV numbers count. Do you refute this?

It doesn't really matter how much he was offered. Calzaghe expects to make more money from a fight with Hopkins than he did with Kessler and is quite right to do so.

Calzaghe's not a coward nor a ducker. Kessler was more of a threat than Hopkinds, and Lacy was considered far more of a threat than Kessler was (though he wasn't, lol)

Bhop's not a ducker either, he fought jones, taylor and blah blah.

Maybe it's the most logical and clearly stated reason - neither ones ducking, they just can't decide on the purse?

This whole "who's the draw" thing is a bit ****** because when you look at it, you need two fighters to sell a fight. Calzaghe is a huge star over in Britain, and he drew like, 35,000 people for his fight with Peter Manfredo, which shows you how popular he is. However against a guy like Hopkins, it'd be a HUGE fight based on who Hopkins is.

Whether or not Hopkins can sell tickets by himself is irelevant, because this fight will be bigger than all for the simple fact that Hopkins is the opponent, and is the most established fighter Joe has seen, and probably will ever see. So basicaly, Calz doesn't need B-Hop to sell tickets, but the MORE tickets sold for this fight will be because of Hopkins.

I agree that Kessler was a bigger threat, but Kessler didn't have Hopkins name. He was virtually unknown. It may be hard to deal with, but the fact is that Hopkins is the draw for this fight in the States, and he will likely be pulling for the bigger half of the split.
