Yes 4k were sold in the UK, but that was because 4k is all GBP allocated to Hatton. Hatton's team had 30k ticket requests. He could've sold out that arena 2x. I can Guarantee you that it will be a predominately pro-Hatton crowd in the arena on Dec 8th.

you are right, I would bet now that over 10000 people in that arena will be from Britain, they will get any spare ticket and all of them of the touts.

I dont agree with those statements made by ellerbe entirely.

I think Ricky Hatton does have a lot of fans (remembering back to hatton/castillo). You can argue all you want but if they went there and literally cheered on ricky hatton (like they did) then they werent there for castillo.

you support your favorite fighter no matter who he fights and the brits came over to see him against castillo and they'll all be there on december 8th getting drunk and singing for 12 rounds this time instead of 4.

this is my opinion of what the crowd will be filled with.

mostly casual fans and those wanting to see floyd mayweather lose
secondly rick hatton supporters
thirdly floyd supporters

remember back to de la hoya/mayweather...

the arena was filled with celebrities. and oscar got cheers like he was fighting floyd in the staples center in LA instead of vegas and i have a hard time believing in mayweather's new adopted hometown he wouldnt be able to have a huge draw of supporters.

truth be told that you will have more floyd haters there and casual fans than die hard supporters for either fighter.

the crowd noise in the de la hoya/mayweather fight would almost make it sound (if you were there blindfolded in person) that oscar de la hoya is a 10:1 favorite and he's dominating floyd for 12 rounds which obviously wasnt the case and it only appeared that way because there are more people who want to see floyd lose his title than want to see him beat hatton.

and the floyd haters dont care who beats floyd as long as he gets beaten.

you have to remember the fight is in vegas...you will get mainly casual fans and celebs. plain and simple.
