I was amatur a few years back with a 6-1 record, I still hit the bag every couple a days and try to stay in shape, but I would still have to loose about 20 lbs to get to were I would want to fight. I'm 25 now, I'm hoping I can have just 1 professional fight before I'm 30. Its a weird goal of mine. Hopefully I can fight one of those business guys that box to stay in shape. haha

i friend recorder me, with a cam, if you want i can send you the video how i got my ass kicked lolyou will be fine as long as you train hard and take it serious. just get back into the gym, get alot of rounds in through sparring, and be motivated. if you look at it as if its just something that you do in your spare time, then you won't get far. but you are just starting so you will improve.

No, i wouldnt.
The majority of fighters train so hard only to get beat up in front of their friends and family for not much money.
Thats the reality.
U have to have somthing to fall back on, because u dont want to be a journeyman for 10 years, suffereing minor brain damage and still with not much to show for it.Comment

You train so hard, and most don't get paid the money that they deserve, and all you do is cop punches to the head no matter how good you are.
It's a brutal sport, but people on here keep bagging out boxers.
I'd like to see them in their shoes.Comment

No. I tried it on the amateur level, and after 15 fights (11-4, 4 RSC) realized that I was a much better writer than a fighter.
The money would have to be overwhelming for me to compete on the professional level. Though that said, if fights where I lived paid as well as my current job(s), then I'd strongly consider. But they're not, so it's pointless to discuss.Comment

are the amateur fighters with losing records? do you have the journeyman like in the pros?
