The day money becomes a non issue to a boxer is the day boxing will regain its respect.
All i hear is money money money blahh blahh I love boxing and i want to box thats why I started training.
When someone mentions something about boxers getting payed i actually think "oh yeah" cos money dont mean **** to me in boxing.
As long as boxings main people are driven by money first and passion for the sport later things will never get better.
Fight for the love first and the money after dammit DAWDWFWAkfwGRRRRRRf.

Of course it's the passion who counts but do you think i'll fight for free, only if you're a complete **** you fight for free, so don't take this excuse if you don't want too turn proComment

I never said anything about excuses neither did I say anything about not wanting to turn pro because I do.
I was just saying there's too much of a focus on money in my opinion.
Too much talks of PPV numbers and fights that should've happened but didnt because of money disputes. Its all bs.
Meh I dont know maybe its just me.Comment

In a way I can see where ya Dad is coming from. Most great fighters have boxing ingrained into them from a very early age and don't really have a lot of choice about it. But, 16 is still young enought to start. Get into gym, spar some rounds find out if you can take a punch and if you like taking a punch.
I was all set as a teen for a career as a fighter, but I got derailed with girls & substance abuse and got injured doing ****** **** and couldn't go back to hard training when I realised how much I loved boxing. I kind of regert it now for not following through on it. But, I've not a good job doing something I love. But, even if you don't have any real fights, spending time in the gym is great for anyone growing up. It helped give me a purpose and place to burn up bad energy.Comment

im a force to be reckoned with in the ring but my family won't allow me to turn pro. slick southpaw, fast hands, and good reflexes. i fight like Zab Judah.Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 11-28-2007, 07:14 AM.Comment
