Maybe because Naz fought at Featherweight and Mayweather never fought at Featherweight ??

And you probably never will. He dodged Tszyu clear as day and now he's negated the idea of fighting Cotto (should he get by Hatton). Why? Goes against his businessplan of maintaining his undefeated status at all costs while at the same time getting rich. That is the fact Jack.

Funny you should mention that Wiley. At the end of the Jesus Chavez fight for Floyd he said he wanted to go to lightweight and fight Paul Spaforda and Jose Luis Castillo. Then he said he wanted to jump up to 140 and fight Kostya Tszyu.

BoxingScene: What is your goal after the Gatti fight?

Mayweather: I want either Tszyu or De La Hoya. I'll fight anybody out there that makes sense, but Tszyu and De La Hoya are the fights I want. I've been calling them out before I even came to 140, De La Hoya is coming down to 147 and I'll willing go to 147 to make it happen. Tszyu got a big fight with Hatton, Tszyu will beat Hatton and we should fight to settle who the best fighter is at 140 pounds.

And never did.........fight Kostya Tszyu. After the Castillo scare, it's been nothing but cherry picking. No way was he going to fight Tszyu while Tszyu was still formidable. Too dangerous to the business plan. Is it any wonder why Floyd has already negated the idea of fighting Cotto should he get by Hatton? Just more of the same. This is the reason why Floyd's critics are so vociferous. Talented...yes indeed. But, unwilling to put it on the line with the best to prove he's the best because he can still make millions fighting bums. We wouldn't even have a fight with Hatton, but the Floyd camp finally miscalculated by underrating Hatton so.

Probably because Kosta Tszyu got ass ****d by Ricky Hatton, and afterwards, Hatton dodged Mayweather. That was easy.

I'm talking about before the Hatton fight. I guess you have no answer, so I'll answer the question for you. Tszyu wanted Floyd after his 2nd fight with Mitchell, when a prospective fight between the two was being promoted. Tszyu even stated this to the press. Floyd never muttered a word. Instead Floyd signed for the washed up Arturo Gatti. After doing this, Floyd then said he wanted Gatti first, then he's get around to Tszyu. Yeah right. Maybe a 40 year old Tszyu....maybe. So, Tszyu signed for Hatton and the rest is history.

So much for Floyd's "vaunted" tour through 140. Completely avoided the true champ of the division by fighting bums.

                True story.

Link please. You've said before that Floyd has never challenged Tszyu. Then when I give you a link, you say "Oh I just meant before."

I want a link to back this up.

And to actually provide links of my own:

A Conference call with Floyd Mayweather Jr, on May 16th, 2005, 6 weeks until the Gatti fight:

QUESTION: Who’s out there after this fight?

MAYWEATHER: I would love to see Ricky Hatton or Kostya Tszyu and down and dirty and low blows. Like when I said before, when guys fight in their backyard and not on neutral ground, they tend to lean the other guy’s way. For instance, I saw two rounds of the fight, but everybody I talked to said the guy was dirty all night – wrestling and doing dirty tactics, throwing low blows. Anywhere I go I want to be treated fair. I don’t mid going to Atlantic City, I don’t call this a super-fight because if it was a super-fight it would be on neutral ground. Kostya Tszyu is retired, but Ricky Hatton…the fight when I fought Chop Chop Corley, it was supposed to be me vs. Kostya Tszyu or it was supposed to be me vs. Ricky Hatton. But they turned the fight down.
