I never said that and if you think that roy jones of today can defeat a prime and elite fighter you're clearly dellusional.

What the hell is the title of the thread suggesting? Who the hell is speaking about a 39 year old way past it Roy Jones. We are talking about PRIME RJJ no other time, period.

I know and I never made a pick I just suggested that pavlik's power at 160 compared to Roy's power when he used to campaign at 160 might be actually better. And based on that you assumed that I pick Pavlik.

Prime Roy Jones Jr. would pretty much school Pavlik until he gets caught with a right hand on the chin and goes to sleep.

I think you folks are forgetting that Pavlik only needs one hard right hand to knock Jones Jr. unconscious(Tarver,Johnson). Pavlik may get knocked down by RJJ, but unlike RJJ he will actually get up.

The reason why Jones had only ever been down once before the Tarver KO is that his reflexes were too fast for most fighters to land clean. The fact that Johnson KO'd Jones proves to me Jones was nowhere near the same fighter he was at his best.

So PRIME Jones was much faster, smarter and more powerful than Taylor, who almost KO'd Pavlik.

It could either way, Pavlik KO, or Jones KO. I dont see it going the distance.

Evry up-coming fighter is getting hyped up. Max Kellerman was so big on Roy when Roy was in his prime he was saying stuff like Roy would ko Frazier and what not. It's understandable we live today I guess not in the past.

lol..Roy would beat him easy..maybe box him a little for the first couple of rds then sit on his punches a little more in the middle rds and probably KO pavlik in less than 7.
