well one thing is for sure, if jones fought pavlik now, well if he was out for five minutes from johnson and took more than an hour to get out of the ring, well then pavlik would end jones life. anyone that picks jones against pavlik now is a mentally handicapped ****** or never saw a boxing match in their life.Comment

Im sitting here in my wheelchair dribbling all over myself after just watching my first ever match and think that Jones would UD Pavlik if they fought right now, not easy but would get home, he is still crafty and has been in with the best of the last 15 odd years and would have one too many tricks at this point for Pavlik
In saying that at only 25 Pavlik has not hit his prime yet and we probably wont see it for 3-4 years when he may even be a LH, he is very good now but when he hits it he will be devestating and more than a match for anyone from MW-CW.
The Pavlik that KO'd taylor against prime RJJ - as most have said - not even closeComment

Pavlik would knock Jones out!
It's never a good idea for a china chinned fighter like Jones to face a slugger like Kelly.Comment

this is not a mismatch and who ever says that Roy would knock Pavlik out is in way over their head. both Taylor and Miranda hit harder than Roy IMO. i give pavlik alot more of a chance than most people do. it would take one of his straight right hands to get Roy out of there. and i know Pavlik hits harder than Tarver and maybe even Johnson. and don't tell me that Roy did not have a weak chin in his prime. you can't grow into a weak chin and Roy has always had one. in his prime, he hid it well with his quick reflexis and athletic ability. even though my pick is Roy by comfortable UD, i would not be shocked at all if Pavlik connected on Roy's chin and got him out. but we are talking about Roy in his prime so he would just be too quick for Pavlik. he would counter and make Pavlik look silly all night. it would be boring like the Roy-Toney or the Roy-Hopkins fight because Roy fought cautious against real elite fighters. i think it would be one sided too. my final pick, Roy by wide UD but i wouldn't sleep on Pavlik.
