As always you make some interesting points Dios but I must take issue with this idea that the Collazo fight is the best evidence to consider when making a judgment on how Hatton will do against Mayweather. Collazo was a southpaw, a big guy at welterweight and seems to throw alot more combinations than Floyd. These factors must be considered when looking at that fight.Comment

I'm not sure. I wasn't even aware they changed it.
The size of the gloves was something I thought about prior to the Castillo fight, and it had little effect.Comment

haha fair enough.I absolutely said that. I still feel that it gives Hatton more options for his own fitness. But I neglected the 'gloves rule'.
I should have considered that, too.
But, STILL... no excuses either way. You will hear ZERO EXCUSES from me. And I won't accept any from the Hatton stans.Comment

I think the southpaw issue is the biggest factor. Very legitimate point there. As FJSMJ has also eaten shots from southpaws (Corley, Judah, and even Sharmba). As always you make some interesting points Dios but I must take issue with this idea that the Collazo fight is the best evidence to consider when making a judgment on how Hatton will do against Mayweather. People are forgetful. They forget that prior to Baldo/DLH, Floyd threw alot more combos. But he was much more hesitant to let his hands go against the much bigger guys.
Additionally, I wouldn't call Collazo a big WW. Williams, Clottey, Margarito, Cintron, and even Cotto are bigger and stronger than Collazo. And hit harder. Collazo is probably a mid-pack or lower sized welter.Comment

Yeah... the rukle was 10 oz gloves for 147 and up. They just dropped it to 135 and up, I believe.
I read that in an article about Pacquiao. He would have to get used to the big gloves if he moved up for Diaz.Comment
