handpicking the easier opponents doesnt make u the top welter
cotto and margarito both have better records
even if mayweather beats the smaller hatton after running for 12 rounds he said it himself hatton is the most overrated boxer in the past 10 years
Hatton is the most overrated boxer of the past 10 years yet he has a better resume than margarito who you mentioned.

    Explain that??

On paper Floyd is still the #1 at 147, but I believe that Paul Williams is truly the best Welterweight in the division. He dosen't get enough credit for his schooling of Margarito(#2 WW at the time). As long as he can keep making 147 I don't think there is anybody that can stop him, he is a freak at 147.

Williams would beatdown Mayweather if they ever fight. Williams would do to Floyd what Forrest did to Mosley.

Williams vs Floyd - Williams by late TKO

Yeah but he was unprepared for that fight. He and everybody knows it. Look at the condition he's in now. I dont believe he is the top welter because Floyd, Cotto & Mosley would all beat him.

I think Floyd is the best welter. If he doesn't fight Cotto in 2008 i'll see him as a ducking ***** and probably change my mind.

Look...I cannot stand PBF. But, I feel as though floyd haters (like myself) need a better reason than to dispute his skills. It's not about whether or not hes great or the greatest or the best p4p right now....it's not about that and it never was. It has always been about his horrible attitude. Hatton's trainer said it himself...it's as if he wants to be Ali but just comes off like a total prick because he's too ****y. Do you PBF fans really believe people hate to see great champions...and that's why people hate him? There is more to being a great champion, and there is more to being a respected fighter and champion than just being fast and tricky. It's called respect...and you gotta give it to get it. In that aspect, I've yet to see PBF give any of his opponents respect. He disrespects everyone....there's a difference between being ****y and show boating and just being plain disrespectful. That being said...I'd really think this forum would be better off if we all kept the floyd talking to a minimal until after dec 8. After December 8th, then everyone can say their piece about the winner and loser for the week or so after that and then STFU.

if the wbc title meant so much then everyone who holds a wbc title would be the best in their division but thats not the case
mayweather shoulda fought the best wich was zab but after zab got exposed by a journeyman he shoulda went with the second best at the time wich was margarito instead he opted to defeat the already exposed zab and the journeyman baldomir he ducked the harder fight wich was margarito and he will duck the harder fight again this time with cotto
