....Right!!! Wlad had problems with Sanders for alot of other reasons having nothing to do with him being a southpaw. I don't see any current young heavy being able to beat Wlad. If they were smart they would avoid him like the plague and go after the other belts. It kind of concerns me a bit that Sultan has actually stepped up to challenge Wlad. In the back on my mind I'm thinking "does he know something we don't"?

That's what I said Bro, you can count it on one hand. Wlad is putting himself in the leauge of Tyson,Holyfield, and Lewis. Cause all four of theses guys wanted to be real undisputed heavyweight champions. Not just a stinkin "belt holder" who milks his title.

Wladimir is good for boxing. He's bringing in new fans from all over the world. Boxing is the Undisputed king of sports, and Wlad will be it's undisputed heavyweight champion.

I saw 2 out of those 3 fights and based my opinion on Thompson on them. He's slow, mediocre fighter, he's got somewhat of a jab and some fundamentals, no more. He could have a chance against Maskaev, that's about it.

I agree, I saw Thompson fight Krasniqi and Ibragimov on youtube and I wasn't impressed. His jab is okay, but he throws slow left hands and he is lacking in the power department. Thompson is a pretender and he dosen't deserve to get a payday against Wlad.

Agreed. Wlad is way outta Tony's leauge.

I've seen 4 of his fights and all I see is a tall southpaw who throws a lot of punches. His punches don't seem to have that much power on them. Against Ibragimov he had a guy in front of him who did nothing for 10 rounds, and Thompson never once tried to step up and stop him.

I agree too, but he would beat Imbragimov and probebly Maskaev.

He reminds me of a southpaw heavyweight Glen Johnson. older man with high workrate, he doesnt do anything amazing or put a ton behind his punches, but hes a heavy guy anyway and you dont need to put a ton behind your punches when youre that big, he just tries to make them land flush. plus his defence is pretty solid

Krasniqi was not past it, he was knocked out by Brewster but was beating Brewster pretty one-sidedly. note this a Brewster that had just demolished Golota, and had taken tons of punishment to also stop Wladimir. Krasniqi was coming off a one sided win over Brain Minto, which is a good win, and did not look old at all. he didnt look old in the Thompson fight either, he was throwing good punches, he just got hit too much.
Thompson beat Timur more convincingly than Brock did. Timur is not too bad...he beat Timo Hoffman on sidedly right after the Thompson fight, and Timo just recently was able to knockdown and give trouble to Dimitrenko. and Timur...hes just makes boring fights. plus, Thompson beat him WITHOUT HIS SHOES! simply amazing. haha
Thompson beat Guinn, who was coming off a win over Audley Harrison. it was pretty one sided.
beat an undefeated Yanqui Diaz, who that same year knocked out Juan Carlos Gomez.
beat Vaugh Bean, who had only been beaten by Holyfield(decision) and lasted with Vitali till the 11th.

signed, the only Tony Thompson fan. lol.
but yea, its actually a decent record.

                      Hello Tony Thompson

How do you feel about possibly getting an undeserved big payday against Wlad?
