    Tony Thompson Eyes Klitschko-Ibragimov Winner

Tony "The Tiger" Thompson (31-1, 19KOs) will be watching with eager eyes on February 23, when Wladimir Klitschko and Sultan Ibragimov meet in New York's Madison Square Garden to unify the WBO/IBF heavyweight titles. [details]

When Wlad unifies titles, he should just drop the WBO title there and then instead of fighting Thompson, it would be Wlad-Austin all over, only worse. Thompson's got nothing to come even close to hurting Wlad and that's the only remote way he could win.

Thompsopn will lose to both of these guys, but he's got a better shot against Sultan.

I hope he'll at least have the decency to go away after he gets beaten by one of the top fighters.

Tony Thompson is a pretender, he is on the same level as Ray Austin. Wlad would easily KO Thompson in 2 rounds, it would be a waste of time. I think Sultan would win a fairly easy UD over Thompson as well. That's pretty damn sad if Tony Thompson is one of the best American Heavyweights.

Thompson's a decent fighter, definatly better than Austin. He'd beat Ibragi, and may cause Klit. a few problems as well. The guy's a 6'5 southpaw with decent skills. There actually arne't all that many better opponents out there right now for Klit. to face.

The winner(meaning Wlad) should go grab another belt. Tony can then get KO'd after Wlad has all the belts.

well if thompson is that easy wlad can fight he a couple of months after the sultan fight to get it out the way. i would rather see him fight thompson and stay busy than wait another 7 months for him to fight again.
