Then I played Fight Night Round 3, and that, coupled with me liking Roy Jones's song, "I Smoke, I Drank" made me DL Jones's 2 fights that were in ESPNClassic on that game, vs. Hopkins and vs. Toney. It's a miracle that I stuck with the sport, considering my first fight I watched was Jones Jr. vs. Hopkins. I downloaded the 3 Tarver fights.

Then, my life changed. I saw, at a friends house, on HBO... FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. vs. CARLOS BALDOMIR. My friend said he hated him, and I felt it was appropriate to try to annoy the **** out of my friend, so I gave Floyd a chance. Look at me now.

The first PPV I watched live was Mayweather Jr. vs. De La Hoya.

Since Forrest vs. Baldomir, I have tried to watch every live boxing event I can.

Like he said, I'm getting more and more hooked on the sport every day.
Oh yeah...Fight Night was one of the reasons i started to get into boxing too. Also at the beginning of the year they were showing here a special of rocky movies, and they repeated them a lot, and it was a long time since i watched them so it was cool. But the main reason, and myabe you would say its childish but i dont care =P, is because of an Anime called Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit). Boxing here in my country is a dead sport, so they hardly show any boxing here and never talked about it on the news, so this was the reason i started to get interested in the sport, and i started watching and just got hooked up very fast.
About the series, people here must at least give it a try, cos its looots of fun, amazingly funny, very well made, and its pretty real. Of course they exagerate things, but its not in a way that make you say its ******.

Check out this thread, here you can download the series, or you can read the comic online. i really recommend it, specially if you like boxing xD.

As long as I can remember. My dad tells this story about when he and his buddies stopped at Ali's house after getting home from Nam...he invited them in, gave them OJ and Wheaties, introduced them to his family, "boxed" a little, and gave them an autographed picture (which he still has hanging over his bed...it's ****ing great). After he told me that story I started watching boxing..probably around 5-6. I started fighting when I was 12 so I guess that when I really got into it..but I've always love boxing.
