Proably about 3/4 years as a hardcore fan.
My dad was a huge Ali and Hagler fan, so I was introduced before that.
I joined BoxingScene after seeing Floyd Mayweather decimate Arturo Gatti.
For me, that was the moment I knew I was obsessed.

I'd say mid-2003, right about when Floyd Mayweather beat up Phillip N'Dou. I got into boxing through Knockout Kings 2000 and read the bios EA put into the game. That's how I started to learn about the fighters. I then saw a ESPN Classic marathon of Muhammad Ali fights and taped them. I watched them until I memorized every sequence to the punch. Since then, I've been addicted.

grew up watching Pernall Withaker, JCC, de la Hoya, Camacho sr., Mike Tyson. from about 86-96. I wasn't hardcore, I was just a kid watching boxing with my grandfather, family becuase it was a pastime. then I had lost interest and gained back interest watching pacquiao - morales I & II. Now I been in the boxing gym for almost 2 years and boxing is a new found hobby of mines.

When I saw Lennox beat Vitali j/k

But really, I became a real fan around 2 years ago when I started playing FNR3. That's when I started following boxing.

But when I was a casual fan, I loved vintage Evander Holyfield. Him and Tyson were the only guys I knew that were in boxing.

Since December 16th 1995 when I saw my first boxing match live at my cousin's house, I was 14 years old. that match was Mike Tyson vs Buster Mathis Jr. The stunning 3rd round KO made me an instant boxing fan considering I didn't know anything about boxing then, the ko was very attractive to me. This is why boxing needs exciting boxers to attract the fans who haven't watched boxing before and get them hooked.
