Hatton: "He came into the ring like Russell Crowe (in gladiator), but ended up fighting like Sherrill Crowe"Yeah, that was another thing that drew me to him... **** talking is great when done right.
When the first few things I saw of Floyd besides his fights were...
1. Him being carried to the ring in a gladiator suit against Baldomir.
2. Him being carried on a throne against Gatti.
3. Him having rappers come in rapping about Corrales beating his wife.
I was like, wow, this guy is a total d-bag, and I love it, and he whitewashed all of those opponents, so to me, that is backing it up.
I talk the same kind of **** in real life, so I usually think that **** is quite funny.
Hell, I was a Ricardo Mayorga fan for a while for that reason alone, but god he is so bad in the ring, that I couldn't stand labeling myself as a Mayorga fan anymore.
That line is classic!Comment

I knew about Boxing pretty much all my life(Not into it, just known. I knew the famous fighters and I sometimes watched old fights with my father). My parents have seen the big fights back in the day, from Sonny Liston to the end of Ali. The Golden era was really great for Boxing, as the whole world including my family watched the likes of Ali, Frazier and Foreman. I always knew Ali, the way you know that MJ is the greatest basketball player, that is how we thought about Ali and he was basicely the first man that introduced me to the sport as he was always interesting. I was never a Boxing FAN in those days(I only knew a handful of Boxers), but I didn't mind watching a good fight. Then one day I saw Tyson in action, and from there on the sport grew on me. I've been a fan for more than a couple of years now.Comment

Been interested since I was a kid and first watched Rocky......I used to train and ask my mom to give me raw egg yolks so I could be like Rocky....but really started to watch Boxing on HBO and **** religiously since 99 or so.Only watched the Major **** before that.I got into boxing in November 2005. I was watching ESPN classics and saw this dude destroying everyone in a boxing ring. It was "Iron" Mike Tyson of the 80's that got me hooked. Now Im a boxing crackhead and badly addicted to the sport. I have tons of favorite current and past fighters. I got a bad boxing addiction, and loving every minuet of it!
Thanks "Iron" Mike for bringing me in.
So how long have yall been fans? And what got you into boxing?

Early 80's. I remember staying up late to watch Navarrete fight when i was still in Philippines. Moved to the US, in my couisn's hosue watching a Tyson fight. We did not have cable so i just watch what is on in KCAL(Los Angeles area) and either CBS or ABC showing a few boxing fights. Joined the Marines, did not get to see much fights cuz of training. Got out, just bougt boxing mags. Got cable 4 years ago but switched to Direct TV, have bought around 10-12 PPVs.Comment
