this **** is ridiculous, De La Hoya is lame to me now.. all this tune up talk and now he wants either Cotto or Hatton, he's a **** head.. I respect his kind heart but I DON'T respect his career choices, fighting Cotto is ******, he is trying to be relevant when he is clearly irrelevant, he needs to give Antonio Margarito a chance at putting a mega star name on his resume for May 3 and IF, and thats the biggest IF I ever had to use, IF he gets past Margarito then he should face the winner of Miguel Cotto VS winner of Hatton-Mayweather.. if that should be Cotto then he should face Cotto in the garden on the night of the festival and if it's Mayweather he should face him again in the MGM Grand where both hold crazy weight.. no way does Oscar get ANY significant fight if he doesn't take out any of the following.. Collazo, Quintana, Julio, Margarito, Judah or Cintron-Williams loser..

THEN and only THEN can he at least mutter up a bull**** argument to fight an A class fighter.. this is ****ing Boxing not hollywood and I'm sick and tired of this two bit, Ken doll flexing his ****ing muscle OUTSIDE of the ring to keep himself relevant inside of it, Boxing is about the hands and the ranks not the name and the fame.. even Mike Tyson had to go against pretty much tomato cans due to his rank in the division so why should this primadonna get away with it? why because he's Oscar De La Hoya? ****ed is what he will be if he faces Cotto.. 100

Cotto destroys DLH with bodywork. DLH shouldn't even be allowed to fight Cotto, what has he done to deserve it in recent times?

Odd that so many Cotto fans are crying foul on a De La Hoya matchup.

They say Miguel will destroy Oscar..

A win could mean MASSIVE things for Cotto's career.

Why would that be a bad thing if this is such an easy win for Cotto?

ODH needs to put a few wins together before he even deserves a fight with Cotto or Hatton, his age and stamina were exposed against Mayweather in his last fight, and if he wouldnt have gassed vs PBF he might have been in with a shout, however unlike PBF hes no marathon runner.

when was the last time dela hoya fought at 147, the governing bodies should do something about this, oscar doesnt deserved a title shot, he always tells this crap announcing his fights taking place in May and getting more money than his opponent, yet he would lose in the end, how come dela hoya doesnt take on forrest and wright, who beat mosley twice, and shane beat him twice.

the reality is De La Hoya can pick who he fights and whoever that is will be more than happy to fight him, because of the big payday. I for one think this would be a great matchup. De la Hoya is not in his prime anymore, but neither was Mosley and that fight with Cotto was really close, and exciting.
