Just watched the fight without sound and if you take the Puerto Rican fans and the over-zealous HBO commentary group out of the equation, Mosley is the clear winner of the fight. He won 7 out of the 12 rounds cleanly and maybe more. Cotto's vaunted 'power' never once had Mosley in trouble, but contrary to what many thought, Mosley had Cotto backing up for at least the last 4 rounds. Mosley kept touching him with something all night, especially flicking that jab in Cotto's face while keeping him at distance and strafing him with the harder shots. Mosley did take more punishment than he's ever taken before, but he deserved to be the victor of that fight, giving a great performance at 36 years old. Just watch the fight without sound, and take special consideration at the last four rounds.....Mosley UD or a Draw at worst.
With the sound off, Mosley is the clear winner.

Every single poster who posted in this thread was a Mosley fan. As it stands now each Mosley fan thought Mosley won, and each Cotto fan thought Cotto won. I expect this to continue...
Most of the neutral people had Cotto winning.Comment

Well, I replayed the fight and my score didn't change. I had it 7 rounds to 5 in favor of Cotto. The 11th round was a Cotto masterpiece. That clarified that he was the one in control. And, it appeared to me at the end of the fight that Shane's jaw may have been broken. In any event, it was injured. IMO Shane respected Cotto's power. That's why he didn't go on the all out attack when Cotto was on the ropes.Just watched the fight without sound and if you take the Puerto Rican fans and the over-zealous HBO commentary group out of the equation, Mosley is the clear winner of the fight. sound on 7 rounds to 5 cotto. sound off, 7 rounds to 4 cotto with one even which i am leaning towards cotto. Most boxign websites had the fight for cotto. mosley fans scored it for mosley, cotto fans scored it for cotto. All in all cotto was the winner on 4 scorecards including ledermans. Steward even thought cotto win, mosley knew cotto win. Great fight by both. No need for a rematch right now. I want to see mayweather cotto.Comment
