I dont like Joe but he reps the UK Wel so i got a slight soft spot for em. Not much tho!
Hopkins is an Amazing Boxer full of tricks and stylish moves, Joe is SO fast, mad stamina and work rate - Hard to pick! Hopkins for me is better but at this late stage of his career Zag mite just Outwork him Basically. Wouldnt bet against Hopkins tho, the man has TALENT! and he smart too

I think he will have beaten the better level of opposition. Easily.

Look at the superstars he's dis assembled. And prospect Calzaghe

        I don't think so.

Monzon never fought anyone, and defended his title against scrubs. Hopkins will have beaten 5 Major superstars.

People also can't play the "He defended against scrubs" in regards to Nard when he was the MW champ............because he moved up in weight and sought the LHW championship defending the title against the sports #2 best P4P.

Yeah when Nard always talks about how he's trying to make history etc..........I think most of that goes to deaf ear and people continue to underrate him.

I'd imagine if he did somehow outbox Calzaghe that would be swept under the rug. You don't have to go much further than reading people's responses on an internet forum to get the scope.

Worst thing ever was him changing his style to a cautious defensive one......because people correlate ability to entertainment.

You also don't bet against Hopkins, people should've learned that by now with Tito, Oscar, Tarver and Wright all being heavily favored against him.

People don't even remember that his style was once one of "seek and destroy". They only remember when his age turned him into a tactical, low-risk fighter. And then they blame him for it, like you'd want to be 42 years old and taking the best shots of younger, stronger fighters.

People often forget that boxing is an art, and the art of it is to hit without being hit back. This is why masterful boxers like Hopkins, Mayweather and Jones are severly underrated in the general public's eye. And why fundamentally flawed, one dimensional fighters like Cotto get all the credit and respect.
