Mosley has trouble against taller opponents?

Would it be fair to say that Mosley has trouble fighting taller opponents?
He lost to Forrest twice who is 6 ft,, Shane is 5'9'' and Wright is 5'10.1/2''.

All other fighters have been around his height, and he he's had no trouble with them.

Therefore I tend to lean towards Shane to beat Cotto.
    Mosley is simply too skillful.

Maybe his losses were due to a weakness to fight taller opponents.

    Obviously.

Oscar, Wright and Forrest. All of them just about 6' or above..........Oscar being the shortest at 5'11 but remember he has long arms and uses the jab.

I've always pointed to that, great thread. Just so people don't forget.

Yeah and the reason why I bring Oscar in to the picture is because he clearly beat Mosley in the second fight. That was one of the biggest robberies in the history of major fights end of story.

Mosley only has trouble with six footers.

        That's not the point.

The point is, that Cotto doesn't have the reach/height advantage.........and wouldn't use that in the first place. The only way people judge Mosley based on losses could possibly be to a six footer.

Not a 5'7 or 5'8 tops wearing heels maybe welterweight......I'm not so sure. Cotto isn't exactly that big of a man.

Judah ****ing dwarfed him in the weigh in.

Mosley will have the clear size advantage in this fight.

Forrest lost to much shorter fighter in Mayorga who was aggressive against him, who in turn lost to oscar who in turn lost to Mosley.

I'm pretty sure if Shane was the same height as these guys, he would have no trouble.

The shorter guy (Mayorga) is a free swinging brawler who literally charges forward every ten seconds of the fight throwing radical windmill punches.

You can't use Forrest losing to Mayorga by knockout as an example............because Mayorga's style couldn't be any more different than Mosley in coalition with the fact that Forrest was suffering from a shoulder injury and his range was limited when he fought Mayorga.

Cotto way to beat Mosley is to try and imitate winky and forrest and what they did to Mosley, which is come in with the jab and fight from range, then come in.

Cotto did that well against judah, if he can negate mosley's speed with the jab, then i think he could win, especially if he begins to land those vicious body shots off the jab.

no disrespect to cotto, but were talking about Winky and Forrest, 2 guys that are above cotto in the jabbing and overall boxing ability, especially when it comes to defense. Cotto's Jab didint take effect on judah until the middle rounds when Judah decided he was going to stand around and look at him, something Mosley isnt going to do. Cotto will have to win this fight with his will as opposed to something like a jab.

Im going with Shane in this fight, but i think cotto's jab is real nice, the guy can box a little, lots of this fight depends on mosley's relexes and wether they can carry him through the fight, i think shane will try and close distance on cotto and hit him with combinations and i think cotto may actually take a bit of distance and work his way in, i didnt read too much into the collazo fight, collazo hit shane clean a few time early on and i had it 1-1 before collazo claims he broke this thumb in round 3 i think.

Cotto stops in his tracks when you hit him with combinations, Mosley must keep them coming, hell have many oppurtunities to land and unlike judah isnt prone to spells of ****ing standing there doing nothing on an opponent he can actually hit.
