  • Did Kessler get a draw?

Judge "Raul Cais" scored rounds 4,7 and 12 for Kessler
John stewart scored rounds 2,4,5 and 12 for Kessler
The Italian judge scored 2,4,5,10 (not 12???!) for Kessler

Amongst the 3 judges you can find 6 different rounds for Kessler (personally i would give round 1 to Kessler too) so i guess You could make the argument that Kessler got robbed!!

Ok, I thought it was "Calzaghe does'nt impress me at all" guy, but now I'm sure. This HAS to be Kessler.

No Mikkel, it was'nt a draw. You won 3 rounds....keep in mind there were 12.

Kessler missed a lot and got tagged a lot in that final round when he came out swinging. A lot. He landed a few bombs but I don't see how that's enough to win the round. He had to go for it though, of course.

Rounds 2 and 4 were clearly Kessler's. Round 3 and 6-12 were clearly Calzaghe's IMO. I had Rounds 1 and 5 as shared ... both had equal good moments in those rounds. Funnily enough I scored it the same live and watching the replay on TV, which isn't always the case but goes to show it was a pretty easy bout to judge.

Only a fool thinks there is a case for a draw here. You only had to see the post-fight reaction to know who the winner was.

Oh, and I think we can put any doubts of the Italian judge being pro-Calzaghe after the quite bizarre calling of the 10th in favour on Kessler. WTF?!!

I agree it was easy to judge this bout, just surprised to see the 3 judges seeing it so differently. personally I had it 115-113 Kessler winning rounds 1,2,4,5 and 12. But then again I'm Danish so i quess I didn't see it through totally neutral eyes.

i have to watch the fight again, was pretty drunk by round 6..

kessler was landing the harder shots through the first part of the fight, by the 5 round i had kessler at 4-1 or 3-2, and after that, joe´s southpaw stance seemed to get going, the later rounds i i cant recall that well, but for us it was easy to see, that joe in the middle rounds was the better fighter.

on the night i had it a draw, but that was wishfull thinking under the influence of estonian beer ,

joe won by 1 or 2 rounds.

I can see how you can score it like that. Don't agree but can see. I really can't understand the judging though, even if their margins were pretty spot on.
