I think the lower weights age quicker because they fight more often. Not as much money, so their fights come faster. The lighter guys might age faster because they get hit more often as well; That's tough because the heavyweights get hit a hell of a lot harder, and I doubt being a gargantuan man protects you from brain damage.

There are a lot of reasons. One of them is metabolism change.

That's just it KJ that **** DOESN'T matter yet people always bring it up. It makes no sense to me. Just because you are on a subjective p4p list doesn't mean you aren't a great fighter, period.

Explain. Would the metabolism change be different between small and large fighters?

Joe beat Jeff Lacy and Mikkel Kessler. He is the new Sugar Ray Robinson. Cong****. Add a Calzaghe wing in Canastota.

And that was no domination last night. Not even on YOUR card.
it may be weak but he beat the two other best guys in that division. When has Floyd beatin the other TWO best fighters in a division. DONT WORRY ill wait ...

People need to learn to assess fights and fighters with their own eyes. Kessler did WELL last night, he could've beaten most guys at the championship level. It makes no difference where his previous fight were.

By the late 20's most people get heavier, your weight increases without substantial bodily change. Fighters can't make the weights they could in their early 20's, which ruins their careers.

Look at Corrales, RIP. He could get that frame way down below 130, which enabled him to be a championship fighter. As he got older he cuoldn';t do that.

Other issues: speed gfoes first, and is indispensable at lower weights, while middleweight and up a slower, older fighter can beat younger faster guys

Just realized I didn't answer your question the first time. I don't think it's different. But eight pounds is two weight classes. Eigh pounds brings a champion into mediocrity in lower weights, higher weights it doesn't happen that way. I don't know why.
