Hopkins P4P ...Why?

^Which is why in your own little delusional world, you can make any far flung claim you want (like Kessler being better than Taylor and Tarver, ha!), even when the overwhelming consensus is against you. I'm not bothered since it makes you look more like a loon and me more sane.
LMAO @ Kessler!Comment

I'll try asking you again. Since you hadn't heard of Kessler prior to this fight how do you know what his qualities are?^Which is why in your own little delusional world, you can make any far flung claim you want (like Kessler being better than Taylor and Tarver, ha!), even when the overwhelming consensus is against you. then you cant quote ring magazine when talking about who is p4p, nor can you use ring magazine to illustrate any ranking whatsoever since their rankings are generally the standard, come on man.Comment

You know, i was wondering the exact same thing when i saw him up so high. In his prime yes, but now!???! how can he be so high, he lost twice to Jermain Taylor and the Winky Wright match up was all but inspiring.
I want to see calzaghe fight him as hopkins has pulled out before, but i doubt it will happen even though B-hop was calling joe out and joe wants the fight.Comment

He has admitted that he doesn't know anything about Kessler. How the hell can he make a judgement on him when he hasn't even seen him fight?Comment

I've never commented on his "qualities", so this is a straw man. I'm commenting that it is absurd to emphatically suggest that he's better than anyone outside of SMW, given his accomplishments, level of opposition, and p4p status (since it hasn't been PROVEN; see "burden of proof"). Sure, he may have looked sharp against a few of those fringe contenders, but he showed me nothing the other night to confirm your far fetched claim. He is indeed, a relative nobody compared to those guys when anyone puts their accomplishments, opposition, and talents under scrutiny. Kessler has done absolutely NOTHING in his career to give that impression and it is something so ridiculous that I have no idea why I'm even sitting here trying to persuasively refute it.Comment

regardless of his ignorance, you cant use the opinion of a magazine in rankings and then cast down magazines altogether. I think hes wrong in a sense of making judgements on a fighter he hasnt seen forming an opinion out of thin air, saying that Kessler is better than Tarver and Taylor is a pretty bold statement since both guys have combined for alot of elite level competition by all standards.Comment

I like Hopkins but the pass he gets for losing twice to a decent but not great fighter in Talyor is INSANE. Winky gave him a hard enough time. I think Hop is out of the top ten, somewhere between 11 and 15.Can someone explain why Hopkins is rated so high on peoples P4P list when he suffered two defeats against Taylor....{who has himself just lost) and beat an out of shape Winky..
Anyway...please enlighten me to your thoughts on Hopkins being rated higher than say....Oh I don't know......Calzaghe for example..
By the way...No way Hopkins fights Calzaghe...he's ducked him in the past and knows he'll get his ass kicked if they fight now...
Just as well as Hopkins would make it a boring scrap..Comment

You are judging Kessler's career based on reading a list and you are lecturing me about what is ridiculous? You are only calling Kessler a nobody because he isn't American or hasn't fought enough Americans to get the necessary exposure which you so obviously consider to be vital when analysing the merits of a fighter.I've never commented on his "qualities", so this is a straw man. I'm commenting that it is absurd to emphatically suggest that he's better than anyone outside of SMW, given his accomplishments, level of opposition, and p4p status (since it hasn't been PROVEN; see "burden of proof").
