99% of all US champs have never fought away from home.
How many times does this have t be explained to you people? They don't need to. US is the boxing mecca. It is THE international venue for fighting. If Joe moves up to 175 and wants the champ (Hops) then he should come to the U.S.

I rate Calzaghe p4p number one, but you ladies shouldn't get offended by this guy's thread, especially given the obvious hypocrisy:
u all are now saying he fought all the best in his weight class. ok hops did everyone said that he fought nobodys in his weightclass. roy jones he beat everyone in the lightheavy weight div u all said he ducked people. he beat the best in his hops did in his and now JC did it in his. good for him.

If you're gonna tell someone their opinions are ******, don't talk out of your ass.

You are saying completely ******ed and incorrect things that nobody in the world believes, including yourself.

....I think the fact that things like the US economy/military etc etc are being brought into play lets me know that some peoples agendas on here are more than just boxing.

like i said, United States has no shortage of good amatuers, as far as boxing goes we still have many up and comers and the future of boxing in america is still bright, there is no shortage of americans fighting for olympic glory, which means we still have something to cheer about later on.

so why are american boxers p4p when they don't go overseas? i don't understand your logic. getting a fight overseas isn't easy, and politics ahs some part to play. if you judge a boxer in terms of skill, fights or whatever than where they have fought then he is certainly top 4 p4p.

the US is a mecca of boxing, but soemtimes it's easier to make money or start at home. i mean if joe was offered a huge amount to go to the US then he would. has he been offered a lot? i don't think so.

The point is this though...if you want to challenge someone for their title, then you have no right to dictate the terms as if you were champion. If Joe moves up to 175, he will have to lay down his ego in some ways. If he can't fight Bernard for a few million, then he just won't get the fight.

For a guy to stay at 168 (obscure division) in one area for his whole career and then complain about not getting fights is silly. However, if anyone wants Joe's belt(s) at 168 then they need to be willing to travel to Wales.

i find it funny how many people criticise joe for not travelling. he's been champion for 10 years and if you wanted his belt you would have to go to him.

it's understandable that if joe wants to fight hopkins that he will have to go tot he US. joe has said he is willing to go there. joe said it's up to frank warren now. if joe was going to fight a light heavy with a belt then ofcourse he will go to where ever.
