bc this is where boxing is. you dont see DLH and PBF going overseas to fight the mega fight. the mega fights are in las vegas. in the states. im also not saying joe has to travel when he is the champ. but he has said he is not getting the big fights he deserves or the money. its bc there is no one left in his div to fight. if he wants the mega fight he needs to come here simple as that. im saying there is no one left in his div. if he wants to shine he needs to come here. hatton won his best fight oversea's ok. but that didnt get him a PBF fight did it? no bc no one was really paying attention neither was PBF.so why are american boxers p4p when they don't go overseas? i don't understand your logic. getting a fight overseas isn't easy, and politics ahs some part to play. if you judge a boxer in terms of skill, fights or whatever than where they have fought then he is certainly top 4 p4p.Comment

If nobody was paying attention then why did HBO sign him up immediately after the fight?bc this is where boxing is. you dont see DLH and PBF going overseas to fight the mega fight. the mega fights are in las vegas. in the states. im also not saying joe has to travel when he is the champ. but he has said he is not getting the big fights he deserves or the money. its bc there is no one left in his div to fight. if he wants the mega fight he needs to come here simple as that. im saying there is no one left in his div. if he wants to shine he needs to come here. hatton won his best fight oversea's ok. but that didnt get him a PBF fight did it? no bc no one was really paying attention neither was PBF.Comment

I'm glad you think I represent the entire United Kingdom, that's very flattering. You did downgrade Calzaghe, by saying that he hardly ever fought anybody of consequence. This is untrue, he has fought everyone who is anyone at 168 lbs (and Peter Manfredo) and beat them all. There's nothing else he can do apart from change weight divisions. Oh look, he's going up to 175 to fight Hopkins.
When did I say anything about the military? Go on, find the quote where I said something about the military.all i was saying was he needs to come over here and fight. where did i say anything about military.
But you're happy to accept the greatness of Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Junior. Why don't you accept the greatness of Joe Calzaghe on their terms? Is Howard Eastman a better fighter in California?this is a boxing website non stop boxing. go into one of the other topics. i never not once didnt give him credit. u all are now saying he fought all the best in his weight class. ok hops did everyone said that he fought nobodys in his weightclass. roy jones he beat everyone in the lightheavy weight div u all said he ducked people. he beat the best in his hops did in his and now JC did it in his.
Calzaghe is getting the credit he deserves. Maybe not in the United States, but he is around the world.good for him. good for him for making those 21 defenses. thats great. why dont you think he is getting the credit he desrves.
Hatton was a big star before he came over to the United States, and was also the linear champ at 140 lbs and the number one in the division. Has his star risen since he fought in the US? Certainly. He's started to get recognition in the US, though it is still overwhelmingly negative. You honestly believe that being xenophobic and insular are qualities to be applauded? Your responses suggest to me that you are of the opinion that fighters from outside the United States deserve to be ignored because they are not American. It's understandable to a degree. After all if you don't see someone fight, how can you rate them? Trouble is that some people get so caught up in disparaging and criticising fighters they have never seen that when they finally get the chance, as you did on Saturday, there's an immediate pressure to discredit them otherwise you would have to commit the cardinal sin of admitting you were wrong.bc he is not over here. face it. hatton wasnt anything big until he came here. now he gets PBF. he beat an over the hill out of prime jose luis castillo. than he beat some other bum(just barely) that one of our better american fighters destroyed. give me a break.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on a fighter, but you failed to critique the achievement or the performance, instead discrediting the record which, less face it, you are not party to.
I can't stop talking "military ****" because I haven't started.and stop talking military ****.
He isn't allowed to beat a good American fighter in Wales? Or does the fighter become a "bum" after he loses?and to the dude who lashed out for the first comment. its cool dont worry about it. this is your sport he is your fighter and you have a reason. went alittle to far but **** happens. all im saying is that he needs to get his hype. he isnt going to do it over there. he has to come here and beat hops or a good american fighter.
That's exactly what you were saying. You said that you are "not impressed" with Calzaghe because he spent his career fighting "nobodies".thats all im saying. not saying he isnt a great fighter/champion he is.
You started a topic bitching out a fighter in his moment of triumph. These are the replies. Deal with it.you all just get way to out of hand when it comes down to talking about your fighter. you all almost made me cheer for floyd until i remembered that i cant stand his ass.Comment

you race mother****ers make me sick, you act like your countries is high and mighty and all USA fans **** ride. pieces of ****, and I ain't referring to your whole countries neither like you ignorant bastards be doing I'm referring to you *******s who factor in race into a Boxing forum then when hit with your own medicine you cry racism like little bitches.. man up and leave that race **** elsewhere because over here (in NSB for you 1 sentence quoters)it's the skills that does the talking.. how can all USA fans discredit fighters from other countries when I rank Joe Calzaghe as #2 in the world? wake up and smell the leather..Comment

i did not ***** about him. i was simply saying can you really rate him p4p num 1 when he hasnt fought over here yet. i never thought lacey was that good anyway. i admitted that i didnt like joe at one point but i also said that i needed to see him fight. not in this thread but in others. howard eastmen?? ok peter manfredo is a great come on now. roy and hops i was simply asking why if people **** eat on them about fighting nobodys than why is joe simply amazing than. hatton was recognized over seas. HBO signed him bc he was good. i never said he wasnt. but that win he had the so called greatest win of his career didnt land him the PBF fight. HBO also signed him i think bc he was talking about coming over here to fight. face it calzage kessler was and will be the bigest fight outside the US bc PBF hatton is here. PBF and DLH was here. cotto mosley is here. roy tito is here. DLH next fight will be here. PBF next fight will be here. and face it when those two or any of the fighters i just named fight its here and on PPV.I'm glad you think I represent the entire United Kingdom, that's very flattering.
