Hatton and Kostya was the BIGGEST FIGHT for both guys involved.NOT. FOR THEIR BIGGEST FIGHTS.
Sheesh. You know what? I'm done. **** it. You win.
HBO executives are all idiots. I'm an idiot. My professors were all idiots. My colleagues are all idiots.
You know more about promotion and event economics than everybody else. You win.Comment

I'm talking about the networks' biggest fights. Not the individual fighters' biggest fights.
For example: Last night was calzaghe's biggest fight. But where would it rank among DLH/PBF/Tito/PAc?
But you win. I'm an idiot.Comment

Can I ask you how a network "loses revenue" in broadcasting a fight?
Please educate me.Comment

Quote by Dan Rafael:
And despite Showtime putting on one of its best pay-per-view telecasts, the losses on Holyfield-Toney were substantial. Showtime lost more than $ 2 million on the show. Losses were so heavy that in order to balance its budget, Showtime got Holyfield to agree to a deferred payment in January of about $ 2 million of his $ 5 million purse.
Thomas didn't want to talk about that but offered, "Hypothetically, you can see how a company at the end of its calendar-year budget would want to time payments a bit. Almost anything Showtime would ask of us, if it was in our power, we would do. They've been very good to us over the years, and we would welcome an opportunity to reciprocate."Comment
