Not only isn't it clear. I disagree,

With both Toney and Hopkins, it has been said "this guy is clearly the best in the world" at some point. Can that be said about Calzaghe?

With both Toney and Hopkins, can be said "this guy fought/beat the very best in his weight classes in his era". Can that be said about Calzaghe?

I was very impressed by both fighters, but Calzaghe just looked incredible last night...

The only thing I was dissappointed about is that he lost the 12th round in such an ugly fashion. Otherwise, great performance..

Chill out, KJ. Calling Calzaghe 2 levels above a prime Toney or Hopkins is just self-ownage.

You did not answer my question. I know why.

But I will answer yours: NO , it does not.

Does SkySports have both participants tied in to contracts?

                HBO has:

                1) both fighters.
                2) a huge market
                3) a promoter who it loves to work with
                4) an ideal location with tremendous civic support
                5) established relationships with the casinos.
                6) a highly effective infrastructure to broadcast their own properties

Think about it: would you rather be an owner or a renter?

lol.. Cotto goes down, and doesn't finish the fight. I'm sorry. Nice calm debate between you and I, by the way. It's a nice change of pace from the normal name-calling that often times happens on this website.

Maybe you rate those guys more than I do. How good has Hopkins ever been? Has he ever had a performance anywhere close to any of Calzaghe's big fights? You could say Trinidad, but that win is overrated.

Toney is another story. Against Nunn and especially Barkley he fought in the league of Calzaghe. But Toney had so many weaknesses.

Dios, with Floyd in his prime right now it can't be said that JC is the best in the world, but it's a two-man argument now and Manny Pacquiao is not invited.

Would you really pick even a prime Hopkins to stand much of a chance with JC?

Toney was skill-wise probably the best fighter in that weightclass' ORBIT. 160-175..

Micheal Nunn would have given Joe Calzaghe fits, actually. Joe woulda pulled it out- but it would have been big problems for him. He doesn't have the power of a Toney.
