    What's YOUR point?

    Joe got a W
    PBF got a W.
    PBF made more.

If it's spin, at least it's succinct.

    • DIOS:

You're trying to act intelligent...save it. Coincidentaly, you said all this right after Zag bitchslapped Kess in an incredible, epic fight.

I know boxing is a down and dirty business. I know it is all about maximizing your reward with minimizing your risk. I learned that many years ago when Roy fought the Kelly's of the world. I learned that when Ray Leonard didn't give hearns a rematch for years. I learned that when Floyd wanted to face Baldomir instead of Margarito.

But what does this has to do with FANS wanting the BEST possible fights.

      • DIOS DOMINICANO, you're an ass. You know if that was mayweather 8-4 against hatton. You would be posting topics like Mayweathers number 1!!! And be all over his balls... This topics disgusting

I am ABSOLUTELY UNAPOLOGETIC about the fact that I diligently track the business and economic aspects of the sport.

As Mannie/Kellz said at the top of the broadcast, Joe's perspective is "why should I go to the US if I can draw 50K at home"?

Why did we not see RJJ-BHop II? Because they were arguing about 60/40.

The competitive elements are fine... but you are missing out on critical pieces by failing to grasp the business fundamentals. Sorry.

You have to think like Dios to understand Dios, Grizz. This is what he's saying:

"Joe Calzaghe is an inferior fighter because he makes less money than other fighters."

          • Dominicano is such a racist hater it's ridiculous. He's been embarassing himself here time and time again.

But I do not see Joe as being a special fighter.
                  Dios,

I have read through your hundreds of negative posts about British fighters over the many months with a wry smile on my face, I knew you would react in this way because you are a virtual/Internet coward.

A real man admits when they were wrong or least offers some middle ground.

Anyone who knows anything about boxing would offer that Calzaghe is the real deal, even if you forget the ten year 21 defence reign and judge him on his two best recent performances in Lacy and Kessler, you could only offer that he is a true and real champion who took on the prime and best in his division and completely schooled one and well beat the other.

To say otherwise is foolish and cowardly. Therefore even if anyone could before, no-one can take anything you say in the future with any seriousness or credibility.

                      Tek,

It was a very good fight. "Epic" is hyperbole. It wasn't the best fight this quarter.
What do fight economics have to do with fans wanting the best possible fights? Are you even serious with that question?

The best fights are made or not made for money. Do you think Arum would rather see a competitive fight or make a couple of million dollars?

Why did "If it makes dolars, it makes sense" enter the fight fan's lexicon?

Side note: you comment on my intelligence (or lack thereof) alot. If I'm smart, it isn't worth mentioning. If I'm an idiot, then it DEFINITELY isn't worth mentioning.
