JMM is overrated by Ring Magazine

I cannot fathom how a draw with Pacquiao, a loss to Chris John, and a controversial win over Barrera put him among the very best in the world. IMO he does not belong in the top ten p4p, let alone the top 5.

    Discuss.

Agree. Marquez is going to get murdered by Pac when they fight again.

Believe it or not,I kind of agree with you.I think he did beat Barrera clearly but should not be rated that high.He does belong in the top ten, but just not that high.Maybe 6 or 7.But also take into account that they might consider his skills wich p4p are pretty high.He also pretty much outboxed Pac after the first couple of rounds and he lost a controversial decision to Jhonn wich many people think he won.In other words he has never really lost a fight clearly.

JMM is most definetly one of the 10 most talented in the game, and if you deny that then you havent seen enough of him.

BUT, i can see why some may not want to put him among the top 10 p4p, cause he only has one good win in his last few

He beat chris john apparently, i didnt see it, and got jobbed.

And he put on a great performance against Barrera and won handily i thought. And now he's gonna batter a very good fighter around the ring for 12 rounds, maybe even less.

And i definetly am gonna pick JMM to beat Pacquiao if they rematch.

Never losing a fight clearly makes you no.3 in the world? I disagree.

You have to CONVINCINGLY WIN fights against top fighters to be even considered in the top ten p4p, IMO.

He definitely seemed to have Pac figured out in the last half of the fight. But oh boy, those 3 knockdowns by Pac in the first round!

Then remove, Mayweather, Hopkins, and Pacquiao.

I havent come across a person who thought John should have won the fight.

You misunderstood bro.I'm not saying that's the reason he is there. It's all the things that I mentioned put together.I honestly think one of the main reasons they rank him so high is like I said , his skill level. And if he fought Pac again, the way he has been fighting lately Pac would win.But if he fought like his old self I would definitly favor him against Pac.It's a 60/40 fight in favor of Pac at this point in their career.
