Perhaps it was stated a little more forthright than I would have put it, but there is some truth in this statement.

Sure it would be good for boxing. When exciting fighters win and do it in dramatic fashion (which Hatton would pretty much have to) it is good for the sport. It sets up more exciting fights down the road and it increases the interest in the sport. A lot of people will watch this fight and if Ricky wins it in an exciting fight he will bring more fans out to watch him in more exciting fights (anyone he fights will be more exciting then Floyd.) The casual fan (people boxing needs) dont enjoy watching the Mayweather, Jones Jr, or Hopkins type fighters because they couldnt give a **** about the "science" of it all. All they know is that they get bored when watching a guy run and pot shot all night. Guys like Ricky, Pavlik, Pacman, Diaz ect. dont pot shot. They fight. Fans like fights. Floyd has never been in a fight, he basically looks like he is sparring and doesnt seem to care if people enjoyed seeing it. End of story.

I think it is. Boxing is starved for fighters of the Roberto Duran/Marvin Hagler grade. While there will never be another Duran/Hagler, Ricky Hatton can turn a page in boxing if he defeats the elusive businessman, Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

I'm tired of the Floyds, Bernards, and Roy Jones Jr.'s. Fighers like Pacquiaou and Pavlik have made significant steps to return boxing back to the fans, where fighters battle for the glory of being top dog. Hatton has the opportunity to finish the job and shove the businessmen to the back where they belong. The sooner the better.

                  What do you think?
I agree dude despite your blooper on how to spell pac's name lolol.

Another floyd win is equivalent to another hohooommmm....
