WRONG that is where you proved you are a DIP****.

Winky is a Light-middleweight which was true to form for Borenard fighting smaller men.
And Tarver was INACTIVE and certainly not at the top of his game.

In fact what has Tarver achieved apart from spanking a Shot RJJ?

Why can't Borenard ever fight a Man at the top of his game??
A man his own size as well.
      Please tell me MORON.

He did.....he fought Taylor....a unproved up and comer who he didn't have to fight btw. He was not perfect but he beat alot of good and great fighters. You trying to downsize his accomplishments by belittling the Winky, Oscar and Tito victories and him cleaning out the division of all the Middleweight contenders of his era is pathetic.

        This conversation is over.

He DID NOT MAKE “20” DEFENSES. He made SIX successful defenses.

After becoming the undisputed champion he only made six defenses. The rest were meaningless alphabet defenses. He DID NOT break Monzon’s record. Monzon made 14 UNDISPUTED defenses. Hagler made 12 UNDISPUTED defenses. Joe Louis made 25 UNDISPUTED defenses.

He's barely in my top 10 MW's of all time. Roudning out at about number 8.

          What say you guys?
I know you know what you are talking about most of the times so with that said. I aggree with you .

And Calzaghe just got a World Title "the main one"! So his title defences are what 1-2?

Wbo is still not a main title, but because HBO fighters hold the title HBO brain washes people into thinking its legit.

Yes he did fight Taylor.....AND LOST.
The guy has a padded record and lost to the 2 best men he faced.
            Men his own size.

That isn't belittling him that is the Facts.
            Simple.

If he wanted a real legacy he should have moved up a LOT EARLIER and fought the best which at the time were RJJ and Calzaghe.

He took the easy option of staying in a lack-lustre division.

I don't think he even defended the IBF title once. I think he let himself get stripped to fight Peter "Disgusting" Manfredo.

Well.. the fact that he was undefeated, after becoming a champion for the next twenty fights, and you still knit-pick the fact that he didn't, at the time own all the titles. He collected them all, and never lost. I'd honestly see making a case for undisputed, at any point. Considering, any time another champion who TRIED to dispute it, got shut down.

No, he stayed lower for the big money fights with Tito and De La Hoya. I know people don't like to realize that boxing is a business, but it is. THEN, he still moved up and beat Tarver and Wright. By the way, One could argue he should have won the first fight with Taylor, and atleast should have gotten a draw. He also lost to Jones while Jones was closer to his prime, then he was. Blame him for that if you'd like, it's not really his fault. Also, Hopkins is, from the looks of it, looking to fight Calzaghe, NOW.

So, there's not a real EASY option invovled. Unless you think it's an easy choice to choose between what some would consider the better legacy, to what people KNOW would be the better financial boost. Sounds like a difficult decision if I've ever heard one.
