It wouldn't be an easy night for Pavlik, but he can take soooo many risks without ever really taking a risk if you know what i mean. Wright doesnt have the power or the size to really catch Pavlik and hurt him.

So Pavlik can go all out and really try what he wants.

Id go with Pavlik by KO in the later rounds
But how do you know that his power could hurt Wright? The amount of times that Wright has been hurt is equal to Carlos Baldomir. 0. I've never seen Wright even staggered.

Pavlik's team would be crazy to line him up for a fight with Hopkins. Bernard would destroy the slow and one dimensional Pavlik. It would be Trinidad/Hopkins all over again.

its true, but age has to catch up with you sometime and i saw him get hit quite a bit against Wright... enough to make me at least a little uneasy if im a Hopkins fan.

One Pavlik flush shot and it could completely change the coarse of the bout, if not end it

I agree... say what you want about Bernard, but that is what he does. He takes you out of your fight plan, and slowly decisions you.

The great thing about Hopkins is his style has nothing to do with age. He looked just as good against Tarver as he did against Trinidad 5 years before.

True, Hopkins didn't look that great against Wright, but Winky makes a lot of fighters look bad.

thats true as well, but everybody can get hurt and if you punch hard enough to knock Miranda, Zertuche, and Taylor all SILLY, even though they are all strudy vets with very good chins, then you have serious power.

Wright isnt the type of fighter thats going to be able to nullify Pavliks punch output, in fact his style could raise Pavliks output, and Pavlik would just break him apart.

He punches very hard to the body, and he mixes head and body very well.

I think it would end in the 10th, with pavlik by stoppage

I dont understand how people can STILL have the opinion of Pavlik as a one-dimensional fighter after he showed he could DO IT ALL against Taylor...

He boxed well, he showed a very good defense (outside of round 2 of coarse ) and also he is one of the premiere brawlers in the sport.

Hopkins...again? Terrible bout, unless Hopkins get hurt, and then it's even worse. Maybe the plan will change.

No one should judge either fighter by their bout against each other.

Seriously, Taylor's career was in the ****ter before the Pavlik fight because he looked so bad against those two guys.

Has anyone ever looked good against Hopkins or Wright after they switched into their new defensive matrix (Wright) and ring control (Hopkins) styles?

                    No.

It's a little premature to write either fighter off yet IMO.

Hopkins? Isn't the Jones-Trinidad winner a better option for Pavlik?
