only reason he's taking the rematch is cause he thinks he was winning the first fight now even though he pavlik and emmanuel knew he was losing at the time. taylors gonna get hurt thanks to the ****** judges oh well

Taylor said in the post-fight interview that he thought he was definately losing the fight, and he was shocked that the judges had him ahead.

i know he thought he was losing right after the fight then he heard most people had him ahead for some crazy reason and now he thinks he has a chance even though pavlik was controlling the fight except for 2nd round of course. at best it was 57-56 for taylor at best. i had it 57-56 for pavlik

...I don't think Pavlik will get caught like he did again and that spells trouble for Taylor. Jermaine is the better boxer but not by a huge margin. Psychologicaly there is no way that Taylor isn't going to be damaged from the first fight. I'm very surprised they are taking this fight, and "credible sources" aside, I will believe it when it's signed.

Im glad he's taking the rematch clause, shows he's got heart.
I had him up when he got stopped last time so he COULD win a rematch. Kelly got ****y and left his chin out after getting tagged in fight 1, he is OT gonna do that again! Im putting my Giro on Pavlik by KO again, u USUALLY find when a fighter loses a tough fight he loses the rematch only quicker which is what i expect here

When Jermain won the belts he gave Hopkins an immediate rematch and I think he deserves the same respect.

no one forgot that Taylor had Pavlik out in the 2nd but lets not forget that this was Pavlik's 1st championship fight and I thought it was apparent that he was feeling the nerves early on. The tools that won Pavlik that fight were the jab, right hand and extremely fast pace,as usual. He will bring more of the same for Taylor but it will be ramped up with experience, confidence, and a feeling of superiority. Quite an advantage. If Taylor cant change things up like not getting sledge hammered by the jab as this fight moves gets deeper Taylor will be in danger once again of ending the fight on the canvas. I personally think the Taylor we will see in the rematch will be a shadow of himself especially as he starts to eat hard punches.

Anywho, I think the biggest thing we're missing here is Pavilik's stamina. I don't think that, even if Taylor avoids the easy 1-2 of Pavilik, he'll be able to keep Kelly away from him for 12 rounds. Pavilik has shown the ability to throw anywhere from 50-80 punches per round, comfortably, without tiring. He certainly won't stick his tongue out and offer his chin to Taylor again, so we can forget about another round 2 scenario. If Taylor tries to be more defensive, he'll look like he did in his previous fights leading up to this one and the judges will credit Pavilik with the higher workrate decision victory. That is, unless they are ******ed and score every round for Taylor like they did in the first fight...

If Pavilik doesn't force himself into a "I have to KO him again!" mentality, he could take the decision by simply doing more in the ring.

pavlik will break taylor down again, taylor always fades in the late rounds, pavlik is a slow starter, he gets better as the fight goes on, kind of like prime lennox lewis. pavlik's 50-80 punches per round will break taylor down again, just like against miranda, zertuche and bronco mccart. these aren't junior middle or welterweight punches kelly's throwing. taylor may last longer in the rematch, but he'll get tired and knocked the **** out again. go ask zertuche or edison miranda how hard kelly pavlik's punches are

jermain seems unsure he not used to being in close fights so he is going to thing he is losing watching the fight he was ahead buy at least one possibly more
