Taylor To Exercise Rematch Clause For Pavlik

A very credible source has informed BoxingScene.com that Jermain Taylor (27-1-1, 17KOs) is going to exercise his option for an immediate rematch with current WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (32-0, 29KOs). Pursuant to the contract, the fight is scheduled to take place at 166-pounds, but the agreed upon weight has not been confirmed. [details]

Damn you work quickly. This should be a rematch for the MW title. They didn't have to much trouble getting to the weight before so they should make it happen at that weight.

      Why MW????
Both fighters are struggling making that weight which means they would perform worse. If they fight at SMW they would give the fullest, they'd be heavier, meaning more powerful and exciting.

It should be at middleweight but Jermaine already set upa built in excuse in case he lost. It will be at a catch weight so Taylor's stamina will be better. Smart move on Jermaine's part. But as far as the fight I see the same result. Maybe Taylor stays on his feet and lasts 12 rounds. Only if he stops defying logic and know to not fight a puncher with your hands down or a controlling jab.

I don't think Middleweight was an excuse because Taylor said before the fight that he had no trouble making the weight this time, and was weighing his options for staying at Middleweight.

if this happens is it still goin to happen in Atlantic City, cause if it is ill be there. i missed the first fight (saw it live on tv but wasnt there in person) and ive been kicking myself in the ass ever since since it would of been one of the best fights, if not the best fights, i would ever went too. after nearly ****in my pants in the second round only to jump for joy in the 7th, i would of loved to experience that there in person.

I think taylor is going to fight at 160 again. I think he wants the belts back. All I know is that I want him to get the belts back

bad move for taylor, getting knocked the **** out will be fresh in his head when he steps into the ring with pavlik again. it'd be better to fight a couple junior welterweights first to get his confidence back, or better yet, forget pavlik alltoghether, kelly just has his number
