Pursuant to the contract, the fight is scheduled to take place at 166-pounds, but the agreed upon weight has not been confirmed. [details]
No doubt Team Pavlik making it so obvious they didn't want the rematch and didn't want the rematch at 166 had something to do with this.

Either way, Jermain is probably feeling like **** it.. Might as well.

    Nothing to lose. Why wait?

But I agree with some who say he shouldn't go again so soon. Possibly.

Now, if Taylor can learn to move his frikin head and step to the side he might have a chance. But unless he plans on doing an overhaul - he needs to ****ing forget it. Pavlik ain't gonna let him win, or wait for Jermain to snap out of his ****** daydreams mid fight..

Yeah I think he's going to stop Pavlik in the rematch.

And I as well had him ahead on the scores. I don't know what ****ing fight people were watching where they had Pavlik on top. He finally caught up to Taylor yes.....but that's not here nor there. He was getting totally reamed with punches and was losing in most of the exchanges................up until the last two rounds of the fight where Taylor backed off and was being extremely tentative like a sitting duck waiting for Pavlik's punches.

I don't think he'll screw this fight up.

That was a Corrales type knockout over JLC. In the rematch.........JLC showed who the better fighter was by knocking him out with ease.

And People are moronic for putting Pavlik in the top ten P4P. He's by no means a better fighter than Jermaine Taylor.

        No way shape or form.

all Taylor has to do is stay off the ropes, THAT was the determining factor the fact that when pressed against the ropes instead of punching his way out he provoked the fight, he stood in the corner and got caught, he didn't move his head enough and Pavlik's speed and reach got to him, only a few minor adjustments need to be made in Taylors game because if you erase both fighters getting knocked down and you look strictly at the hand to hand combat Taylor came off on top, Pavlik got a great jab due to the repetitiveness of it, he uses it like no other and since his arms are long when he doubles and triples it then it could become a problem for anyone, he has a sturdy defense but in terms of offense he allows himself to get hit, Taylor has ALL the tools and even some screw drivers to spare to defeat Pavlik but it only takes 1 punch to change the fight, Taylor faded out once his back hit them ropes and Kelly's punch hit his face, infact I am a firm believer that even if Kelly landed that same blow in the middle of the ring Taylor would have had room to fall and not have the ropes extending the barrage..

with those ropes behind Taylors back and Pavlik right in front of him and the referee jumping in from the side Taylor had no chance to show no flex, he looked done but consider his position, he was cornered and as a result took excess punches, it's Taylor's fault don't get me wrong because he should have gotten out of those ropes and never should have allowed for that to happen but it does explain why he went out so bad, while they were in the middle of the ring the was no problem and then suddenly in the few times he got caught on the ropes and hit he was shattered, that is no coincidence yo IMO Taylor just needs to keep the fight in the middle of the ring, improve on his head movement game so he can side step/step in when Pavlik throws and work on his conditioning so he could go rounds easier, those are ALL things Taylor not only CAN do but he had that on Sept. 29th he just got caught, dazed and abused before he could fully execute..

Pavlik DID drop his chin when he got hit but that falls on him, I can't really say too much for Taylor for that because it was clearly a paid mistake by Pavlik but Taylor DOES hit hard, he IS fast and he has a good beard it's just anyone can get hit, anyone can be rocked especially with punches you don't see and when you fall on the ropes instead of the canvas it allows for the opponent to land excess punches, like in round 3 when the guy is out and you can land 2 or 3 more shots, same ****. I pick Jermain in the rematch as the way I picked him the first time, he did everything I expected him to and enforced himself especially in the 5th round, he won the skills test but Kelly won the brute test, I pick Taylor even more so now because now he has the hands on experience of being on them ropes so when seen in the same position again he's out of there, Taylor wins the rematch in my opinion.. 100

            what r u talking about???

First of all, JLC won the 2nd fight with EASE cause the first fight OBVIOUSLY took a LOT more out of Corrales then it did Castillo. AND not to mention it was an amazing left hook after 3 relativley even rounds.

ANd Pavlik SHOULD OBVIOUSLY be far ahead of Taylor. Taylor has been swamped in controversy, and PAVLIK JUST KNOCKED HIM OUT... usually when u beat a fighter by non-controversial KO, you move ahead of him in the ranks lol.

Pavlik is probably the better fighter as well. IT was close on the cards, i might have had Taylor head by a point because of the KD, but if was clearly Pavliks fight.

idk what fight the judges were watching

Taylor fans are in denial. Sure it wasn't a blow out and it ws close on the cards nefore Jermaine went down. But anyone could see after the second Kelly made it his fight. His jab was getting there before Jermaine's. That's the main problem. Kelly loves to jab and throw a straight hand. It's a simple 1,2.

Jermaine has no defense. Until he shows otherwise. It's good night.

And keep his left up. Taylor got nonchalant over the years about his ability to dodge punches. He's goiung to have to be mentally different now that he knows he like everyone else can be put to sleep.

Props to him though. But it's too soon. If he gets KOed again it's gonna be a long trip back to the top. He should fight Winky again.

I’m very apprehensive of Taylor getting back in against Pavlik so quickly after being brutally KO’d in September. I think it’d benefit him immensely to take a tune-up or two, and go into a rematch with some momentum and confidence. Why rush it?...
