I respect his skills. I just dont care for his passive/non-engaging style that he tends to use when facing an opponent who poses a threat.
See thats a very detailed reason why you dislike him. Thats fine. It just you have to understand the type of fighter floyd is. He's not a risk taker that uses alot aggression true. But the fact that he is real good at using his head is impressive as well. The way he acts yeah is crazy but thats only to hype the fight up. I know a couple of people who live in Vegas and met him and say he's not like that all. Now his passive style. Let me ask you this.
If your a fighter and your facing a very dangerous opponent, will you go in there reckless which will result in you losing or getting knocked out, or will you play it smart and do what you gotta do to win. Remember at the end of the day, regardless how you do it winning is all that matters. I do respect your reply because you gave good reason. Just by saying he sucks doesn't help the thread at all.

I dont blame him for doing what he has to do to win. What annoys me is the fact that he tends to mislead us prior to his fights. I would respect him so much more if he would just say "well since he's a bigger guy, im just going to utilize my boxing skills, and try to outbox him". But when he says that he's going to get in the ring, and completely destroy someone, when in reality, he knows damn well that he has no intentions of doing so, as a fan i feel a bit cheated. Whether if its just to hype a fight or not, its our hard earned money that we are dishing out. So when he says things like "he can either go out on his face, ass, or wave the white flag", but then goes on and chooses to pot-shot for 12rounds, its kind've dissapointing. Me personally, i am a fan of aggresive fighters. I feel that boxing is an aggresive, combative sport. So when i see a guy in the ring who tends to avoid engaging his opponent, it just turns me off. But hey, everybody is entitled to thier own opinion.

          This is the reason.

"I'M NOT FIGHTING TO PROVE TO THE FANS WHO'S THE BEST".

          - Fake Floyd Mayweather

"I'M THE BEST. BETTER THAN SGR, ALI, ETC.".

          -Idiot Fake Floyd Mayweather.

Those are 2 lines coming from his punk mouth which just about sums up everything that is to be said about this fake.

          American boxing is indeed dead.

Coz it has nothing else to show except an overprotected Fake Floyd. In any other era this dude would be a clown.

I would understand it if he was more specific. If I'm not mistakened he always calls Floyd " Fake Floyd" I thought he was just repeating himself. I just want to know and hear why so many posters on this site dislike him.

Look at Vargas he is more shot than a 70 year old retired guy from Florida. Every punch a fighter takes he loses abit of his career. There is life after boxing.

And a combate sport is not only agrresion but also brains. If a person is outsmarted then he not the boxers problem.

nice argument pacy fan. too bad poiny boxing is going to be dead if pacquia retires or loses badly.

and if you not strive to be the best in boxing is better to do something else. any fighter wants to be the best ever.

like: despite the detractors who put floyd down as safety first fighter shy of slugging it out in the trenches floyd mayweather jr systematically broke down one hell of a fighter in genaro hernandez a year after turning pro ( most of you wont need me to tell you gh only other loss was to oscar). floyd runs his mouth off alot which i hate in a fighter but over the last decade he has backed that talk up, which i like.
